We spent 1 week whith Corinne, her daughter Clovis and their friend Andy.
We were a family of 5 (with 3 boys around 9yo), it's why we were traveling in Australia with our motorhome. We could easily park in front of the house in Riley's hill.

Our kids played a lot with Clovis and her friends going gym, trampoline, hide and seek,... For dinner, we could eat the amazing healthy food that Andy loved cooking. The place is isolated at the end of a small village. You need to use a car to join the nearest small city.
Few weeks later, we met a second time Corinne and Clovis near Brisbane. It was yet a nice moment to exchange, improve our English and discover some new places.
Some days before leaving Australia, we met them again near Brisbane to watch an outdoor movie in a Park. We spent all the times amazing moments with a lot of exchanges and patience to help us with our English.
Thank you so much Corinne to be the wife and the Mom that you are.
A beautiful person who will stay long time in your heart;-)

but these guys just fitted in to our groove. They had their own mobile home, which made them quite independent, Caused no stress to us at all, no demands or expectations and they were very helpful with many tasks, especially enriching us with inspiration and their smiles and genuine eagerness to help out .
The children were lovely bright smart boys ,very enthusiastic in Australia culture and the scary wild life , play ful, respect ful and very patient. They often helped their parents with tasks around our place and had fun playing with my daughter.
They all got on really well with little to no common language .
Oliver’s handy man work and attention to detail was very helpful in getting a lot of things fixed, including roof leaks , foundations on sheds to latches on windows and strengthening cloths lines.
Estelle was always in there helping with something also, gardening sewing cleaning decluttering .
Both were great with the kids and my daughter was comfortable to show them some local places.
The family were also mobile and independently able to go on their own adventures.
Parents English level is great ! And absolutely for communication,
children learning English .
I do hope to spend time with these guys again in any country.

… read more confidently riding a skate board in moments. Josie just had a knack, and has a very adaptable, easy going , down to earth, confident, and had a non imposing way about her. Josie was a big help around the house, and yard nothing was a chore and she was always available to chip in when we needed her. She looks after her self well and is physically fit and healthy, not scared or uncomfortable in nature or Australian conditions. Josie is a natural in the kitchen, she prepared great tasty food for us all and had great creative ideas with food. Josie also had great initiative, I showed her a few tasks like weeding the vegetable patch, and gave her the job of laundry and she was all over it, never had to ask her again. yep I would recommend Josie.

… read more nearest town and welcoming me so warmly. Corinne is so lovely, she set me up with my own space and made sure I had everything I needed and was very clear about what work she'd like doing and overall had great communication.
I stayed for a week and had such a lovely time, the work was pretty easy and I gravitated mainly to weeding the vegetable patch. I also did some light housework, laundry, fixing clothes and helped with the air bnb changeovers. I had a great time swimming in the local quarry with Clovis and Roalfe, it was so much fun. l loved getting to know Clovis and her friends and cousins that came over to play. She's such a delightful, smart and cheeky girl, I was so glad we managed to bond in the short time i was there.
I enjoyed cooking dinners with Andy, who is such a lovely, down to earth person and easy to talk to. They both enjoy eating healthy food and we had lots of lovely veggies from a local farm to cook with.
Overall, I felt really comfortable and welcomed here. I would definitely reccomend Corinne's place for some rest in amongst nature, away from hostels and cities!Comentário

… read more something in. Things just don’t back up when she’s around cause she’s onto it. With immediacy.
Always maximizing everything and every window of time.
Caz must be tapped into an ever ready battery source for motivation, she has it in bucket loads, I think it’s cause she has a ‘can do’ approach to life and just gets on with it. She is super efficient, the term, self motivated, just doesn’t cut it. Perfect for me cause we would just get into a groove and flow and next thing I knew another big task was finished. Not to mention all the little ones the every day daily ones in between.
My daughter lights up when she sees a photo of caz or hears caz voice on the ph months after she had left. They made friends and actually felt like sisters to me a lot of the time. Both comfortable to tease each other out and disagree on stuff, mean while playing like best buddies any chance they could, Caz to is one of those ageless people, meaning can connect with someone from any back ground or age. She makes the most of her time with people. And is also very independent clean tidy organised. Integrity is her back bone.
Highly recommend hosting Caroline. As long as she still comes and stays with us again next trip too. 😀
Her skills and tasks list are a way to long to list capture cause I’ld probably miss some out. But will say is very capable of doing most things that any one would need help with around a property home family and animals computer, work, community, and then some,
Oh caz loves animals, as well as people and nature, appreciates Australian wild life very much. Values its natural beauty.
Caz Uses all natural products so won’t toxic up your home with terrible smells or chemicals. She Cooks washes cleans for her self and for us too at times
She practically hosted me 😂 I would joke about her being my ‘personal assistant’ cause that’s what it felt like

I had the most wonderful stay with Corinne and Clovis ♥️, at Riley’s Hill, which is a piece of paradise. Waking up to cicadas and chattering Kookaburras in the morning and falling asleep listening to frogs and koalas in the distance. Very pretty little bush walks in the nature reserve, next door. … read more Corinne’s parents feel like family to me now, after spending 5 weeks with them (Dec 23 to Jan 24).
It has been so much fun chatting to and playing with Clovis (we always tried to sneak a card game in before the work day began or at the end of the day 😏) and she’s such a bright, gorgeous girl with boundless energy and enthusiasm for life and all the creatures in it ♥️.
Corinne is sunlight personified, but the gentle rays of sun that shines through at dawn, beautiful and serene, loving and strong. I have loved our chats and learning from how gently she deals with any issues in life. She is amazing 🥰. She’s also a fantastic masseuse, so if you get the chance…
Mustn’t forget to mention the little fur monster, Rolphe ♥️. He is just the most gorgeous dog, with the happiest and biggest personality. Had so much fun with him and he kept me safe at night (slept in my bed most nights).
Work wise, we made a long list of projects we wanted to get done while I was there and although there was still a long list remaining (we had added to it 😅), we got quite a few things done or at least started.
It’s been great fun helping out with so many varied tasks, like cleaning between guests, sanding down and reapplying lacquer to the kitchen counter top, declutterring the garage, selling stuff on FB market place, repaint outdoors furniture, painting windows and the balcony, tidying up files and photos on Corinne’s computer, gardening, etc.
We’ve also had lots of fun outings, like going to beaches in both Ballina and Evans Head, lunch at the Gold Coast and dinner in Byron Bay. I also got to take part in 2 family celebrations for Corinne’s grandma, who turned 90! All organised by Corinne’s mum Lee, who I absolutely adore ♥️.
It’s been such a wonderful stay, it was so hard to leave… I can’t wait to go back and see them all, when I return to Oz next time.

She picked up routines and daily life in our home quickly. She noticed things and did them with out needing reminding. She has a creative competent resourceful flair when it comes to cooking in the kitchen. We ate well. Yumi got on with all my friends and family of all ages. My young nephew and niece and all my daughters friends loved her. She has a gentle trustworthy way about her. Yumi also actively engaged with language classes and met other friends to socialise with while here in Australia.
Yumi is now a friend for life, I look forward to spending more time with her in the future, and hopefully also meeting her family some day.

Lovely couple, young positive and easygoing. They stayed a week with us and were pretty independent no hassle at all, and just got on with stuff, they followed requests, offered help, and saw what needed doing and just got on with it. … read more which meant I didn’t have much Leisure time or attention to give them, but they didn’t complain, They communicated well and took opportunity while I worked to explore the area independently. They could do tasks independently and also worked in well with me when I was around. Mainly cleaning washing, lawn maintenance and child caring. They Never complained at a huge mammoth cleaning job they helped me on. Or the endless washing or dishes. They Just methodically plodded along, Both are Quick learners to gage the over all house runnings and showed a optimistic “I can do” attitude.
Hope they get to enjoy their travels and learn lots about life and people on the way.

Absolutely loved spending seven weeks at Corinne's, it was the most magical and fun experience for a first workaway stay! Corinne was incredibly flexible with my changing travel plans (while waiting for State borders to open) and immediately made me feel at home and part of her beautiful family.
Everyday was filled with love, laughter, healthy
… read more and delicious food, spotting wildlife in the garden, projects, new experiences and being able to have deep and interesting conversations with herself, family and friends. Highlights included trips to the local farmers markets to pick out seasonal food for meals, sunset beach swims, being able to practice teaching yoga for the first time, meeting lots of Corinne's family and friends, swimming in the local Quarry, having a bonfire in the backyard, playing lots of games with Clovis, beach days at Evans Head, rainforest walks, road trips to local towns such as Ballina, Nimbin & Yamba, picking fresh herbs, fruits and veggies from her garden, cooking beautiful meals together, hosting friends, raiding Corinne's sell pile of clothes and leaving with a new wardrobe, reading a couple of books from the bookshelf in the spare room, listening to interesting podcasts, being part of the family on Christmas day and hiking along trails in Evans to find lots of little private beaches and swimming spots.
Some of the work included general household duties such as cooking dinners, cleaning, washing, yard work, assisting with the changeover, helping out with some admin tasks and being able to teach yoga classes.
Would highly recommend staying at Corinne's - her energy and love for others is amazing and we had many wonderful and deep conversations throughout my stay. … read more patient. She explained the jobs well and told me in the nicest way if something wasn’t done like she wanted. I always felt respected and loved. We had some very interesting chats and she was always there to give me some good life advices, if something was bothering me. It was amazing being able to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. There are some great bushwalks to do just around the corner, where you can see some wallabies if you’re quite enough. Sometimes there was even one visiting us in the garden. Corinne showed me some beautiful beaches and even gave me the opportunity to try surfing one day. The grils are always full of energy. Clovis loves to play every kind of game. She is very creative and funny. Minyani is super passionate about her amazing drawings. She likes to sing and dance around to great music. With the girls things never got boring. Highly recommend. The first thing Nacho said after he arrived and put his bag down, was “show me the machine I want to work.” And that he did !!
He serviced and repaired my whole ride on mower which was old and had been broken for many years. He knew as much English as I knew Spanish,

… read more message across. He was dedicated focused and caring. He also had a great language translator app on his ph, and was receptive to his world around him. He is experienced Mecanics who knew what to do. He was also organised, He then helped me prepare the yard for the threatening bushfire season at hand. They made the place look so tidy. Weeding mowing brush cutting.
Giuliana was strikingly beautiful strong grounded caring woman. She was my right hand girl. Efficient in the house, kept it tidy clean, spoke English and translated a lot for nacho. Sewed, cooked.
over all she was switched on flexible adaptable help with a good sense of humour.
Both were fantastic with children in spare time they played games, made jokes, and laughed a lot.
My regret was that I never got the time before their stay was cut short to show them around and gift them some leisure days off. A bush fire was on the distant horizon and they moved to safer territory. Whilst here they worked hard and were so respectful of the water shortage due to the drought.
Both would be welcome back any time. Thank you guys for your help and love. A true pleasure meeting you both.

What a joy it was to have these four lovely beings share a bit of their time with us. A family I hope to connect with again some day. They left me with their heart felt smiles etched into my memory. We all loved them dearly, my children also.
It’s no easy task traveling with a very young family into a foreign country and being in another family
… read more dynamic space, whilst trying to juggle work away responsibilities with your own family routines and needs as well as have a adventure and enjoy the country. Hats off to the two of them who appeared to juggle all that incredibly well under the circumstances. Grace and Peter are a fabulous organised efficient team. Their temperament and attitude shows maturity beyond their years. They are fun and playful caring and gentle.
As far as help in the way of tasks, Grace was very efficient in the kitchen, she made many delicious vegetarian meals for us all, she was well organised, prepped and gathered a lot of resources she needed, and was always forward planning ahead. Grace also was very present with her children and made sure the shared space was tidy and respected.
Peter was a hard dedicated worker, he put in a great effort to help me tidy the yard and organise piles off mess into more order, he helped keep the lawn down, sand timber, paint, oil decks, water blast, build lovely hand made touches to our cottage like a wooden box to cover the oven. Plus many more jobs like collecting leaves for pet insects 😆 They watered the garden, skimped on personal water consumption as we were on tank water in drought at the time. Peter is a natural with timber and gifted us with a hand carved spoon he made from local collected timbers.
The family came and went a few times over the months ? to break their trip up. I totally trusted them with leaving them my whole house to have over Christmas when I went away. All four would be welcome back any day. And I truely hope they do return some day. Ps their kids were switched on and totally awesome.

Fantastic people, Fantastic experience! These two were great from first point of communication and they never seized to disappoint me.
They both have two very different style of expression, function and skill set which balance and complement each other and what they offer as a team really well.
They seemed a perfect fit into supporting our

Their own family relationship and appreciations back home and are strong and this carries forth with them as they enjoy and appreciate and contribute to others.
They are great with people.
My kids adopted them into our family very early on and were sad to have them leave. I really loved having their support with parenting, we all worked well together Like a team, they were comfortable embedding boundaries, and reminding children to contribute to the house in reasonable ways.
This came naturally to them cause they don’t react and project their own judgment and anger when the kids were melting down or just being brats. they instead communicate maturely fairly and are clear about their feelings expectation and capabilities. They genuinely care and built up good relationships with all of us. My five year old tells me to write “they are REALY nice people ” my twelve year old says “really kind lovely great friends nice to play with” 😀
And in saying that I might add they were the firmest guest we have had with guiding children’s behaviour and backing me up with the rules.
Practically they had a lot of initiative around the house and yard.
They were quite versatile, taking care of the runnings of the house, handy home improvements and maintenance labour work. It’s hard for me to list everything but they weren’t shy of tools yard work lawn mowers brush cutters drills sanders shovels cooking tidying up keeping on top of the washing, and dishes, computer help, driving kids around picking up supplies, child minding during a night time meal/bed routine , reciting lines, detailing the car (best ‘work away’ car clean I’ve had) all in between making local friends, playing with kids and independently entertaining them self.
They had their own car which they are use to living out of. They always asked before they took or used things They were quite self sufficient, generous, easy going, good sense of humour and very comfortable to live with.
I Highly recommend them as fantastic helpful friendly respectful guests.
I hope I see them both again in the future.

… read more schedule, she made time to greet us with a smile and chat briefly in the morning before ushering the kids into the car before school! She kept a lovely house, that was decorated wonderfully and had such a nice atmosphere. Whenever we had free time, she was there to give us a list of things that she thought we’d enjoy, which was very much appreciated - one day she put us into contact with a friend of hers so that we could borrow a surf board for the morning! Oh, and she cooked some super tasty meals with some wonderful fresh local veggies!
During our stay, we got to meet other people who lived in the area, including Corinne’s dad who was a superhero! He was extremely handy (and fixed the boot of our car) as well as helping us with odd jobs at Corinne’s. He was also extremely nice to converse with, and shared meals with the family (and us) a few times while we were there!
Minyani and Clovis were both total characters! They both always had a story to tell, or a game they wanted to play, and were both full of endless energy, which meant that things were always interesting! From time to time they would help us out with whatever task we’d set off on, which was really nice as we got to get to know them and the area in which they were living. Minyani even put a couple of little plaits in our hair one evening. They were both so open and welcoming, and we genuinely enjoyed spending time helping them out/playing games!
Staying here was wonderful, and it seemed to go extremely fast! We cannot thank Corinne and the girls enough for letting us stay with them, and looking after us so well - it was a genuine pleasure.

They hold impeccable integrity and respect in every thing they do, and were an asset to the family and home just by being them self, to add to that they were willing to help out and give any thing a go. They adapted to many new tasks I set them. Maxwell push mowed and wipersnipt the whole big property. My children instantly connected with them first meeting, Maxwells and Dianna communication and warmth made that possible. Dianna has endless patience and tender care for my youngest who shadowed her everywhere. They are deep self reflectors, fast learners and enjoy the out doors.
I miss them. they have a place here and with all of my extended family any time they shall want it.

… read more her stay it was cleaning cooking and child minding. I found Sarah to be a natural with children. She connected really well and could relate with both my girls aged 4 and 12. She was warm firm but fun and loving. They didn’t buck or shy from her infact both gravitated and open to her, and cooperated, my girls were sad to see her go which is unusual in their life of many guests. Sarah was also here in cyclonic weather so we couldn’t really swim or surf at the beach, but she never complained just accepted and made the most of the situation.

The home has a lovely flow throughout and we enjoyed helping with anything that was required, there is always household and gardening jobs to do, helping with the yummy food which is prepared around the home, or with work on the new cabin that is being built on the land. Work time flexible and fair.
Corrine is happy and easy going and a really nice person to be around and an inspiration of a woman. Her two young children are a delight to be around too, there is so much fun to be had with them. As a family they enjoy many different aspects of life and they love it all.
There is plenty of space around the home and gardens where you can also spend time on your own if you wish. The house is well equipped with everything that you may need with a quiet, comfortable bedroom too.
We would really recommend this homestay for a single person or a couple who would really like to spend time with a truly beautiful Australian family in a beautiful Australian setting.

… read more dolphins, Saturday at the organic market, evenings around a good mint tea to discuss, the making of delicious cakes, children's year-end concerts ... I was lucky to spend the Christmas holidays with Corinne and her lovely family who knew to welcome me with open arms. As for the work, if you can call it that, I felt it as a help that seemed normal to me in exchange for what I was offered in return! To leave also a small comment on the house, I had my very comfortable room which allowed me to have my little moments of rest, the meals were very good with delicious fruits and vegetables of the market. Corinne's two pretty little girls are very different, if you like to draw and are creative you'll be able to spend time with Minyani she loves to draw, and if you need to help to swim then you can be accompanied by Clovis the new pretty fish from Rilley Hill. So do not hesitate to spend that good time in this pretty little family.

I also trusted her insight on their needs, and behavioural reactions (In fact I had wished she could have implemented her parenting values on them more, in the way of supporting with discipline, rules, routines motivating inspiring them etc but I don’t think she felt as confident or desire to do a lot of that role)
Along side of basic domestic running of the house, together we would take on other projects like sanding, painting furniture, grouting tiles, watering gardens, mowing, brush cutting, cleaning car, vacuuming, organising and cleaning out dirty cluttered shed and storage room, cooking, planning.
I would discribe Aroura to be caring, smart trustworthy, honest, motivated, gentle, relaxed, independent, respectful, peaceful healthy, of high integrity, fast learner, tidy, organised, stylish, and has a good memory. Aroura enjoys to write read and spend time swimming or in nature, the beach, riding bikes. She appreciates quality over quantity.
Apon leaving, Aroura washed her sheets, cleaned the bathroom, and her English, (spoken and comprehension) had improved considerably.
I wish this ray of sunshine all the best for her journey and life.

Andrew plays guitar beautifully which relaxed the home in the evening after a busy day out working in the yard or surfing.
Andrew was very versatile in his skills. He painted, operated various machinery and tools, manual and electric, including a ride in lawn mower that only turns right, cleaned, cooked, used a shovel, helped me lift heavy things, clean up piles of junk to the tip. Fixed surfboards and push bikes.
Andrew is very skilled, adaptable, fun and positive person with respect and heaps of energy.

… read more sourrounded by just beautiful nature and lovely people. The wallabees are hopping through the garden, you can go for a bushwalk in the national park or spot a koala bear. That's how life is generally: close to nature! In the house, I had my own room with TV and space to put my stuff. The chores vary and it never gets boring, because there's always something new to do. I prepared the kids breakfasts in the mornings, drove them to school or to the bus, played with them in the afternoons, did the laundry and generally helped to keep the house clean. Also, I took care of the veggie garden, watered the plants, helped with computer work and from time to time, helped with preparing the dinner. The family is always up for an adventure, they took me to the beach and showed me the nearby areas. The food provided is very good and very healthy - so if you like cooking, I bet Dan might use a hand. I didn't have any big nanny experience before, but that was totally fine. The family integrated me from day one, helped me a lot, and it was just fun to learn new things! I would come back again anytime, it was just a great opportunity to experience a very nature-attached Aussie life and I am glad and thankful for all the time I stayed here. I Maybe it's good to know that there are spiders and bugs - so if you are just completely uncomfortable with that, this might be not the right place for you.
