Hello Workaway world!
My name is Jane having lived in the Northern Rivers region of NSW for 20 years I took up a nomadic lifestyle pre covid and enjoyed it so much I travelled around Australia for three years before settling down and buying a home and land in Yeppoon QLD here I enjoyed vegetable gardening, looking after the land, Yoga , meditation and swimming in the ocean. However it is time to venture back to the loving fold of Northern NSW .
I love life and to enjoy the moment. I see myself as adaptable, creative, caring, focus on tasks and endeavour to approach life challenges with practicality and simplicity. I am in my early 50's fit, self-motivated, willing to learn and happy to take on tasks as required. if fact I can help with almost anything. I am Australian citizen, who used to working independently or in a team, have full driver’s licence, an early riser, drug/alcohol free with a clean meditative living lifestyle.
I am originally from the UK and have spent my adult life living, working and exploring many countries including Canada, United States, Iceland, Asia, South America and the Middle East. Wherever I go, I like to make time to hike or paddle and camp to appreciate and become absorbed in nature.
I believe that " Time well spent is the time of your life" I love life and experiencing it, I practice yoga and meditation , with this I appreciate giving people there own space and peace and I also enjoy this, I do not need to be " entertained" as such, but am happy to join in.

My travels have been mostly on my own and my last trip was Morocco and the beauty of the Sahara Desert , blue sky, red sand and silence. So beautiful. My workaway journey and volunteer projects while I travelled around this beautiful land of Australia had been with my partner Sergio together we had volunteered turtle monitoring in Port headland in WA, on boats assisting with whale sharks, tracking spotted quolls at Mornington on the Gibb river road in WA, setting up vege gardens In Derby WA at a wild life sanctuary.. the list is endless. This next part of my journey back to the northern rivers will be alone. I will be renting out my home and heading back on the road to what what adventures are out there for me.

Sergio
I enjoy helping with outdoor work, looking after pets or doing house chores.
I have excellent communication skills and can easily relate to people of all ages, abilities and special requirements.
Fluent in English and Spanish I can help you learn or practice both languages.
With a bachelor’s degree on Environmental Science - Resource Management, I can assist you with planning and implementing land management strategies such as: soil and drainage improvement for sustainable productivity, designing fire brakes, monitoring wildlife and pest species, habitat rehabilitation and more.
I am a keen gardener, get along with domestic animals and all other animals big & small, and can help with all levels of planning or maintenance.
With a background as an outdoor recreation instructor, I can guide or plan mini expeditions for small groups in outdoor activities including: hiking, kayaking, canoeing, abseiling, rock climbing, bush skills and environmental awareness .
Other interests include: photography, art, nutrition, cooking, fitness and meditation.

I can help with almost anything, I have great customer service skills and can communicate well, I enjoy and am good at working with the general public. I have run my Airbnb business so have good attention to detail as well as running a mobile hairdressing business taking care of clients.
I have worked in aged care so have patience and empathy with the young and the elderly. Love challenges and getting stuck into things, happy to do cleaning, healthy cooking, and gardening
