Nadine arrived comfortably by car, from Austria, on the days we had decided together. She brought me many little gifts from her homeland, and was very kind: she brought plants, seeds, gardening tools, tea, canned food, and even a bottle of wine! Really she was very kind and I very much appreciated these gestures of hers which are not necessary but are very welcome. She also gave me a small notebook painted by herself, because she knew that I like to write. On top of that she immediately started helping me while I was pruning, she cut the lower branches with shears, and then she helped me so much to move them and arrange them in my plot.
We had a great time talking, and after working in the garden we got down to reorganising the tool shed, where I keep my tools, and I have to say that she was exceptional because as a good tidy-loving Austrian, she was able to help me reorganise the spaces better, clean the cupboards and put things away perfectly!
Nadine really was very good! Although she only stayed a few days, fewer days than expected, I was very pleased with her cooperation and I consider her to be an exceptional woman, a great worker and a true friend!
The first evening she arrived, we saw the fox together, who often visits me and is called Tiger Fox. The fox spent a lot of time on the terrace with us eating the kibble I give her, which was a good omen of the beautiful friendship and collaboration between Nadine and me.
From day one, Nadine immediately helped me a lot with moving and cutting branches, as spring is the best time for pruning olive trees, and she also helped me set up my tool room. On top of that, she was very good at rearranging the access path to my house. She also cleaned up the path and removed all the weeds, and especially during pruning she was very helpful to me, because in addition to cutting the suckers, she also helped me move the branches after I cut them with the chainsaw. But the best thing about these days was certainly talking to her, who is a wonderful person and opened up to me with total transparency and calmness, talking to me about her life, her plans and her thoughts, and asking me lots of questions about everything, like two real friends! It was a lovely few days and I wished Nadine could have stayed longer!
This Workaway experience with Nadine, which for me was the twenty-third in less than a year and a half, was truly perfect.
I have had exactly 23 different Workawayers in the last let's say 14 months, and I must admit that Nadine (together with Enrico), was the best for me!
From the very first day we started working together, and she not only helped me to arrange the branches on the first day, but also she concentrated many hours a day working in the garden, and she did very well.
I am very happy because she was very respectful of my house, and of the simple rules I told her the first day, and then she worked hard and with a lot of energy, even more than the time and effort required.
I really appreciated this proactivity, because Nadine, is a very special girl: she is tidy, she loves to clean everything, she fixed my terrace, she loves to work with dedication and sacrifice, and she is very intelligent and very strong, so this experience with Nadine was absolutely perfect for me.
We started work early in the morning and then continued practically without a break until the end of the afternoon, so I am very grateful to Nadine for all the work she did here in Gavorrano with me!

When she first arrived we had dinner and a quiet talk. The next day we started work straight away, and it was wonderful to meet a beautiful fox in front of my house, which came back to visit us, like a pet! She really is a beautiful fox, and I decided to name her "Tiger Fox" :)
At work, the good Nadine has been very zealous in helping me clean an area that I would like to make as a bonfire and create an outdoor relaxation area.
She worked with great energy and together we created a kind of terracing, as well as continued cleaning a path which basically leads all the way to the log cabin I have just finished building!
Nadine also helped me create simple barriers with branches, and helped me a lot with cutting branches, so I recommend Nadine to anyone looking for good help with gardening and helping out enthusiastically!

For what it's worth, I give a very positive opinion of Nadine, because she helped me a lot to arrange the branches in the garden, after pruning, and also to keep the garden and the path clean, in short I highly recommend the good Nadine for anyone who is looking for a workawayer able to help in outdoor tasks as well as at home, in a cheerful and spontaneous way. This workaway collaboration experience with Nadine was simply perfect and amazing, because she really is an incredible and willing person.
Starting from the very beginning, she was punctual and respectful of the house from the very beginning, and above all we had a great dialogue from the very beginning, also with many passions in common including music, good food (especially my home made pasta!) and of course nature, which Nadine enjoyed very much both in my plot and from my terrace, which filled me with joy.
But besides having a lot of fun together, we also worked quite hard, despite the weather, and Nadine was very good, because even though she's a young girl she's really very determined and diligent in her work, and never complains. She helped me clear the path to the house, and she helped me gather wood, and she was really good and always worked really hard, and then she also quickly has removed all the weeds from the path. In addition to this, she helped me clear a large area of my land, where I would like to make a chill-out zone, and she also cut wood with shears so that I could use it to reinforce the fence on my land, in a totally eco-friendly way. Lastly, she was very supportive all the time.
In short, an irreplaceable help and a tireless companion throughout her stay!
The highlight was being able to enjoy the sunset together, when we stopped working in the garden and could enjoy the colours of nature and the beautiful view of the sea from my terrace among the olive trees.
Nadine is very good, and it was very nice to enjoy so many delicious dinners together, always listening to lots of music together!
We enjoyed making appetisers, and because we worked a lot, we always arrived hungry at dinner and could enjoy this exquisite time, eating typical Italian dinners, especially with very good pasta dishes and some wine.
To sum up, it was an exclusively positive experience, both as a workawayer but also as a new friendship. In fact, we got on very well, which I was very pleased, so we also had the chance to enjoy our friendship.
And last but not least, she kept me company and it was really wonderful to be able to share some days as friends in Gavorrano with Nadine, who is a pleasant person with whom I never tire of talking and with whom you can share many special experiences.
It's really a pleasure for me to be able to introduce this beautiful area to workawayers from various parts of the world, and with Nadine in particular I was always really at ease, both as a workaway collaboration and as a sincere friendship! Above all expectations, truly a positive experience.
So I highly recommend Nadine as a workawayer, to anyone who might be interested in her collaboration, because she really is a great girl and a tireless and sensitive worker, with an endless love for nature and animals. A great help to me, and a wonderful person, who loves nature with all her heart.
