Maud came and helped me for a month or so in the spring of 2024 and gave me amazing help getting ready for the season. She is very conscientious, caring and friendly. She was also very easy going and flexible with work arrangements to accommodate my work schedule and what needed to be done. She is very practical and took initiative many times to
… read more get things done. She did many jobs ranging from help with social media, chocolate procurement and construction of a polytunnel. We are very lucky in West Cork as she has stayed in the area and gets involved with community events and projects, and I am blessed that we became friends.

Stacy came and helped me for a few weeks in my homestead where I’m trying to get a seed saving business off the ground. She helped me with various tasks in the garden and house and was flexible and able to do various tasks in the garden. However, I think Stacy is most in her element in the kitchen and she did a lot of great cooking during her time
… read more here. She cleaned and organised the kitchen better, and joined me with some foraging and experimenting with whatever ingredients we had at hand. She thoughtfully dried and preserved herbs for me to have after she’d gone!

Paul is kind and sweet, a good communicator, thoughtful and considerate. He likes sea swimming and foraging, hikes and sharing gardening, cooking and time with other travelers and friends. His home is cozy, with a beautiful guest room with its own bathroom and entryway. it is a pleasure to garden and cook there, it is quiet and beautiful, with picturesque views, apple trees, various garden patches, polytunnel and little glasshouse with tomatoes. I loved all the food he got, which included some good local foraged and fished goodies from a friend. Venera visited me for about 10 days and was an amazing workaway. She took a lot of interest in what I am trying to achieve here and took a lot of initiative to improve the place greatly. Namely, she helped me clean and do some renovations on a room to get it ready for BnB guests. I couldn't have done it in time without her help and hard work.

I was very lucky to hang out with Will while he helped me for a few weeks. He is a delightful chap and a hard worker.
