Hi there:)
My name is Johannes, people also call me Josie regularly, and I am excited to try something new. I have already seen many different parts of the world, which I am extremely grateful for. It taught me so many things about culture and people and I won't take that experience for granted. But I never travelled somewhere on my own, I've alway been accompanied by my family or friends. And that's exactly why I chose workaway for my first solo-travel experience.

But first I want to tell you more about myself: I am 18 years old and currently doing my 9 months of civil service at a social organisation for people with special needs. Last year I graduated at a local grammar school in Stockerau, Austria. My pasttime activities mostly are connected to sports with my main discipline being football and I frequently work as a waiter at a local wine tavern. Every year in the summer I volunteer as a counsellor at a youth camp I attended many times when I was a kid.
I still live in our family household (which includes me, my older sister and our parents) in a tiny rural village.

I think my friends would describe me at a very caring person, who always wants everyone to feel comfortble. Additionally I am a very patient person, but whenever I set my mind on something I work hard to reach my goal. One of my main principles I live by is to never lose my humour even in tough times.

I would be able to teach german and if required I think I could give english lessons too. Of course, while travelling I want to imrove my english or spanish speaking skills, but due to the shortness of my stay I don't need to learn a completely new language.

Generally I can help wherever help is needed. I am a quick learner and excited to try something which gets me out of my comfort zone. As you can see in my profile description I volunteered at several youth camps so I have experience in child care. During my school time I gave private lessons helping others to learn math or other subjects. I love working with other people, but I am also not afraid of getting my hands dirty and doing household or gardening work.
