Established in SAUL for 25 years, we offer you the opportunity to stay with ease in a grandiose environment accompanied by Isabelle and Stéphane PLAINE, Breton by origin and Guyanese by adoption since 1987.
In a region where history and natural environment closely intertwine, traveling outside the path will make you privileged observers if you wish.
Enchanted by the magic of this place and listening to discreet but omnipresent wildlife, you will taste the charms of one of the most beautiful primary forests still intact. We are a multi-active couple who welcome hikers at our accommodation.
The small village of 80 inhabitants where we live is one of the communes of the Amazonian Park of Guyana.

Installés à SAUL depuis 25 ans, nous vous offrons la possibilité de séjourner en toute simplicité dans un environnement grandiose accompagné par Isabelle et Stéphane PLAINE, bretons d'origine et guyanais d'adoption depuis 1987.
Dans une région où se mêlent étroitement histoire et milieu naturel, le déplacement hors layon fera de vous des observateurs privilégiés si vous le souhaitez.
Envoûté par la magie de ce lieu et à l'écoute d'une faune discrète mais omniprésente, vous goûterez aux charmes d'une des plus belles forêts primaires encore intacte. Nous sommes un couple de pluri-actifs qui proposons un accueil des randonneurs au sein de notre hébergement Le Relais du Fromager dans l'intérieur guyanais.

The SAUL region has a network of really well-marked trails which allows for walks that do not require the services of a guide.
Possibility of sleeping in a forest in a camp to soak up the enchanting atmosphere of the Amazon forest. Stéphane will advise you on traveling in the forest, topography, discovery of the forest, History of SAUL, history of the Guyana National Park,
As you walk, you will savor the calm and peaceful atmosphere of this green paradise. You will sleep in a Brousse cabin generally installed on the edge of a creek. And, you could learn basic camp building techniques. If your steps take you to the edge of a "fishy" cove, you will have plenty of time to "try" fishing and more particularly that of the famous "aïmara". Once camped, you will travel around the site, an opportunity for you to discover movement with a compass and maps (topography).

La région de SAUL dispose d'un réseau de sentiers vraiment très bien balisé qui permet des balades ne nécessitant pas la prestation d'un guide.
Possibilité de dormir en foret dans un campement pour s'impregner de l'atmosphère enchanteur de la foret amazonienne. Stéphane vous conseillera quant au déplacement en foret, topographie, découverte de la forêt, Histoire de SAUL, histoire du Parc National de Guyane,
Au gré de vos marches, vous savourerez le calme et l'atmosphère paisible de ce paradis vert. Vous dormirez en carbet de Brousse généralement installé au bord d'une crique. Et, vous pourriez vous initier aux techniques de base de construction de campement. Si vos pas vous mènent au bord d'une crique "poissonneuse", vous aurez tout loisir de vous "essayer" à la pêche et plus particulièrement à celle du fameux "aïmara". Le campement réalisé, vous rayonnerez autour du site, occasion pour vous de découvrir le déplacement avec boussole et cartes (topographie).

Acomodação
A private room where he can use fridge - freezer and shared kitchen for cooking.

Un chambre chez l'habitant ou il pourra utiliser frigo - congélateur et cuisine commune pour cuisiner.
Proposition des repas fournis les jours travaillés de la semaine (lundi au vendredi) que l'on confectionnera ensemble.
Le bénévole devra préparer ses autres repas du week end en autonomie avec les aliments qu'il aura fournis.

Saul is in the heart of the Guyanese forest and the only way to get there is by plane.
A village very popular with hikers, visitors flock to immerse themselves in the forest during independent hikes where you can bivouac in complete safety in this treasure of biodiversity.
All trips to the village are made on foot.
Possibility to rent a quad.

Saul est au coeur de la foret guyanaise et le seul moyen pour s'y rendre est l'avion.
Village très prisé des randonneurs, les visiteurs affluent pour s'imprégner de la foret au cours de randonnée en autonomie ou l'on peut bivouaquer en toute sécurité dans ce trésor de biodiversité.
Tous les déplacements au village se font à pied.
Possibilité de louer un quad.
