Hi im Elijah I grew up on an organic homestead and learned about farming and how to grow crops, built structures, and interact with the land in the most sustainable ways. I am a queer vegan who loves to be in nature and work with my hands! I really want to be somewhere rural and where im able cook vegan food! I always want to learn new things about homesteading and experience other cultures.

Hello, I’m Jay, I’m a gay & trans vegan of 10 years currently working in Edinburgh as a full-time chef as a plant-based pub/restaurant. I’m super passionate about cooking and plant-based food to support the environment and encourage the thriving of humans and animals alike. I have dreamed of the chance to work in a communal setting/rural location and am keen to gain skills in sustainable farming, gardening and contributing to the welfare of our beautiful earth!

Quais são suas habilidades?

I have worked building and sustaining my family homestead in Texas for years. We have a large organic garden and process the crops (canning, pickling, dehydrating). I have also worked as a chef and server in a vegan cafe at the farm college I attended. I am a hard worker and love living off the land. I am creative and an artist running my own small business. - Elijah

I have great cooperation and teamwork skills, as well as skills in cooking. As I work in kitchens, I am quite strong and resilient to hard days of work and hot temperatures. Due to my interests, I am quite good at culture and language exchange. I am a great listener and an empathetic person who can always help and give advice if I can be useful in that way. I also love writing, and hope that wherever I say I will find more inspiration to do more creative writing. - Jay

I love creating new vegan recipes and cooking for my friends! I also am certified in manicures and gel nail enhancements as well as waxing and eyelash enhancements. I enjoy wild swimming and would love to live somewhere near a river or ocean! - Elijah

I have loved cooking since I went vegan in 2014, learning all the ways that vegetables can be used to create fulfilling, delicious and guilt-free meals. I am incredibly interested in different cultures and languages, and different environments and natural biomes. I love teamwork and cooperation and working with new people - this is a part of my job as a chef that I truly adore. I am also a lover of swimming and anywhere by water, especially the sea! - Jay
