Hello! My name is Axelle, it's nice to meet you! I am originally from the Philippines but I currently work in Lyon, France. I'm on Workaway because I believe that it's extremely important to maintain a relationship with the land, animals, plants, and other non-humans on this earth. In this time of climate crisis and disconnection due to technology, giving back to nature is what keeps us human.

As such, I would love to spend some time with you doing exactly that. I have two weeks off work in August and would love nothing more than to spend it offline, helping you out, and making new friends.

A bit about me: I am a small person, but am very eager to learn everything related to gardening, woodwork, animal care, etc. and I am a responsible and fast learner. I speak four languages and I play the violin. I love being around dogs and children (maybe because I'm closer to their size than most adults, haha!) My favorite state of being is floating in a body of water, preferably the ocean, but I'm slowly discovering lakes and rivers too.

Quais são suas habilidades?

My parents always had a garden in our house growing up, so I am used to waking up early every day, watering the plants, weeding, etc. Aside from this, a few years ago I spent a few weeks on a farm harvesting carrots and planting apple trees. I am not picky about feeding animals or cleaning their spaces. I am good with children and spent several years teaching music to young people aged 6-18. I also cook and bake.

I am a very eager and conscientious learner and love to learn with my hands, so if there is a skill that I do not know yet, I would love the opportunity to learn it from you! For example, one thing I would really like to learn this year is woodworking.
