Hello y’all ☀️
My name is Svenja, and I just started my Working Holiday in Australia on the 1st of April, 2025.
I began this journey with the purpose of discovering and learning new things – about the world, and about myself.
I’m not afraid of a good challenge, I enjoy working and being part of something meaningful. One of my main interests is contributing to a good cause – whether it's for the environment or for society. I’m looking forward to support non-governmental or non-profit organisations along my way!
As for the holiday part: I’m really keen on buying a car, exploring as much of Australia as possible, going on lots of hikes, and embracing the full adventure.

I’ve never officially taught anyone the German language, but I’d say I have a pretty solid grasp of it – and I’m sure I’d enjoy teaching it a bit as well! That might also be the reason why I’m never quite satisfied with my English. I’m always happy to receive corrections or suggestions for improvement. I can speak fairly fluently, but I definitely want to express myself more intuitively and confidently. I want to speak not just smoothly, but also with clarity and a higher level of articulation at some point.

Quais são suas habilidades?

One compliment I often get from people who’ve just met me is that I’m “easygoing.” At first, I always found that a bit odd, but over time, I’ve come to see the strength in it. I notice what needs to be done and get on with it without needing to be asked. I like to contribute – I want to be involved. I love keeping things tidy – partly for myself, sure, but even more so when I can create order for others. At the same time, I’m definitely not afraid to get my hands dirty – quite the opposite. I’ll happily crawl into dusty corners if that’s what needs doing. So far, I’ve worked in a hospital kitchen, briefly in a woodturning workshop, in a supermarket, and as a waitress alongside my studies.

I’m excited to meet you – whether it’s just for a short time or something longer – and to make my contribution! I’m sure there are still a few hidden talents in me waiting to surface, and I’m always up for discovering something new.

As you can see, I’m still struggling with my addiction to cigarettes. I’ve been trying to quit for a few years now, and it’s not easy – but I haven’t given up on the fight. Honestly, I’d even welcome the challenge of cutting down or quitting completely while I’m with you, especially if smoking is something you find really unpleasant.
