I made contact with Mary a few months before her arrival & our communication was easy, which I find important. I asked her to stay specifically as she is an artist, so I explained the job & we conversed via email & phone, then once face to face, I found her nature made it easy to communicate my vision. On arrival for her 10 day visit she was able

I feel she felt at home straight away & had a good regard the house rules and was willing & able to jump in & help, whipping up delicious meals without hesitation, while keeping her surroundings clean & tidy. She enjoyed & appreciated the day trips around the Tablelands, chatting easily with other workers from other countries.
Don't hesitate to have Mary as a workawayer at your home, as she has many life skills to draw from & you will pleasantly rewarded.
Thank you so much Mary for your wonderful work, friends & family who have have seen the mural are very impressed , saying it enhances the serenity of the area greatly
Cheers

Pete contacted me as he was looking for someone to paint a large mural on a fence, and I rose to the challenge. From the beginning, I felt he was someone I could get along with, and wanted to know. I only spent 8 or 9 days at the house in the end, but as I was staying nearby the previous few weeks, we met several times before I arrived and was

Pete and his partner Tracie (who also takes volunteers) are very kind, helpful and friendly people, always including me in weekend outings be it kayaking the lakes, swimming in the river, meeting family for lunch or BBQs with other workawayers before I even started the project. They made my time in the Tablelands very special and I was sad to say goodbye.
The house is quiet, cool and breezy, the garden shady and productive, the town/village sleepy, but there is a pub, a coffee shop and the bus to Cairns stops just around the corner.
Overall a great place to spend a few days or weeks. And thanks, Pete, for putting up with my vegan (and occasionally not-so-vegan) cooking :)

My sister and I only stayed with Pete for about four days, but he was a great host for us! He is a really laid back person which made us feel instantly comfortable in his home. We shared the cooking mostly and always had dinner alongside Pete which was really nice--he is an extremely interesting person and clearly has a strong work ethic. Make sure you ask him about making biofuel! We also really appreciated that Pete took the time to take us to different spots in the area surrounding Tolga (lakes, rivers, hiking tracks) when he had time. It is clear Pete really cared that we enjoyed our stay, and we would both return in a heartbeat.

My brother and I stayed with Pete for about four days, and although it was short, we have no doubt that he is an excellent workaway host. If our travel itinerary had allowed it, we would've loved to have stayed longer! Pete is very kind and caring, and he instantly made us feel welcome in his home. Our work was mostly independent, but Pete always made sure we understood the tasks at hand, and he worked alongside us when he had days off from work. We learned a lot from him about gardening in a tropical climate. We appreciated how Pete included us in his free-time activities, driving us to lakes and rivers for swimming, organizing a barbecue, and taking us out to meet various neighbors. We were impressed with his close-knit community of people, who all check in with one another regularly and offer assistance at the drop of a hat. Overall I can highly recommend Pete's workaway, and I would like to extend a huge thank you to him for being such a great host!Comentário

Peter was an absolute delight to stay with.
He was patient with us and showed us his lovely garden and what was expected. A lot of the food in the pantry is from the garden so many of the meals made were very organic.

Peter, being a great host, took time out of his day to drive us to the National Park, take us swimming and treat us to a tea room. We were very spoilt!

I spent a month at Pete's place and loved it. It's in a beautiful area with lots to see and Pete took me and the other workawayers out to see the sights and do fun things. He also has a wealth of knowledge to share about the national parks.
The work was easy and fun. Jobs included gardening (watering, weeding, mowing etc), looking after Guinea

A couple of times we went to help his friend Sheila who also lives in a very beautiful place nearby.
The climate is quite hot, but bearable, at least in spring. Great accommodation and food was provided, as well as plenty of Mango smoothies.
Pete is a generous and easy going host and I highly recommend staying with him.Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

I worked here with the lovely host Pete for 10 days in the farmland town of Tolga, in Queensland. Pete was super friendly and easygoing and would have daily tasks for me to do. Recommend staying at Peter's place. This was the first Workaway place to stay for me and everything worked well with Peter. I stayed 1.5 weeks with Peter. I stayed for a week with Pete and Tracie and it was the perfect way to start my travels in Australia - this was my first workaway experience.
