I am ethnically Dutch/Belgian, but I was born and lived in India for 15 years. I was fortunate enough to have parents that could afford to take us on vacation, and so I fell in love with travelling and adventures. I love to explore new countries and areas, but prefer to get a less touristic visit to the country, which is what brought me to workaway. To this point I have done 1 workaway experience, which was at an adventure center in the Fjords of Norway (as I was 17 at the time, this experience is not registered to my account). I absolutely loved the experience, and hope to have many more. I'm studying computer science in University at the moment, but fear not, I do shower and I love the outdoors. I would classify myself as an adrenaline junky, so most the experiences I will be signing up for I hope to have some crazy adventures. I am quite an introvert, but love to spend time with people once I get to know them, and always push myself to meet new people. I love the quote 'seek discomfort', and I am a big fan of the yes theory youtube channel.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I worked as a kayak guide for a month in Norway, and would classify myself as a good kayaker although I have never done it as a sport or professionally. I love surfing, I went on a surfboard for the first time about 8 years ago, however I have not had the opportunity to surf very often (about 2 weeks a year). I am an intermediate level surfer, but I am very eager to learn much more. Additionally, I did bouldering for about half a year, and manage to get up to a 6c level, until I had an injury and never got back to the sport, but I am enthusiastic to improve in it.
Apart from sports, I am in the study of Computer science, and would be happy to work out any IT that needs to be done, I have only been studying it for a year, but I can certainly learn on the go. I grew up on an eco-farm, and so learnt a lot about permaculture, and I like hands on work.
That's all I can offer, but I have been told I am a very fast learner, and one of my goals of workaway experiences is gain new skills.

I am extremely competitive, which can be a great attribute but may be restricting at times. I play lots of board games with my family, the current favorites are catan, carcasonne, chinese wisse (passed down from my grandmother). I have a sister 3 years older than me. I love cooking, and most importantly I am always enthusiastic to learn, even though making mistakes can be difficult for me.
