Hi, I'm Peter. I'm from The Netherlands but currently live in France. I'm 25 years old,and I have focused on working hard my entire life up until now (with my studies and previous work) but earlier this year I realised that its also important to enjoy life and take it easy sometimes. Hence, I quit The Netherlands and moved to France, where my mother lives, in the countryside. I quit my job, and I started my own business in wine export.
The business is currentlybeing set up, but before it becomes too serious I would like to travel a bit, and if possible combine these travels with some form of wine experience, so that I can learn more about wine (I am not originally from the wine industry, my academic studies were in business and finance). I speak 3 languages fluently, Dutch, French and English, and I have some good basics in Spanish, but I would love to improve my Spanish language skills.

Quais são suas habilidades?

To make it short: I am good with everything related to business (from finance to srtategy, marketing or web design), I love to cook, I speak 3 languages fluently + basic Spanish, I can do mechanic work on motorbikes (I am good with my hands). I am also in the process of learning more about wine, as I want my future to be in the wine industry.

Education:
In highschool I followed a technical path (Baccalaureat technologique) in Roanne, France.I studied international business (BSc) in Groningen, The Netherlands, and Bordeaux, France. Then I did my masters in finance & investments in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Work experience:
I have worked as a sort of "salesman" for docters without borders during my studies in Groningen. I had to convince people in the street to pay a monthly donation to the docters without borders charity for an indefinite amount of time. It was tough but rewarding work.I also worked in private banking during my studies (later on), which was basically investing money for people in the financial markets.

After my studies I started working in mergers and acquisitions advisory in the horticulture sector, which is advising companies on the acquisition of other companies and/or the sale of their own company. Next to this I also did quite some strategy work for horti companies. It's very interesting work, I learn a lot and work with very interesting people from all over the world, but I realise that the office work is not for me.

So now I am starting a business together with my mother in wine trade (import/export to the Netherlands). I now live full-time in France again and have started the wine export business. I have made a website, generated first sales and I am doing my first wine delivery for christmas 2024.

I love to go on long hikes in nature with my dog. I currently live in the mountains in France, so I spend a lot of time outside. I am also a boxer. I also like to read.
I have 2 cats, who will have to go live with my mother if I go to Argentina (or another South American country).
I would love to meet people from other countries and discover their way of life.
