Hi! My name is Olivia and I am a happy, bubbly, optimistic, and energetic 27 year old studying a Masters in Epidemiology (infectious diseases) in Sydney, Australia. I
have a period of 3 months in June, July, and August 2025 with no plans and so I am looking to have an amazing cultural experience in a new country!

I was born in Canada, but have lived in 6 countries and travelled to 58 countries since then. I am most fulfilled by helping others, science, learning, nature, and adventure. I am fluent in English, and learning Spanish as well as Mandarin Chinese. In my free time, I am an artist and love to paint and draw, I play the clarinet, guitar, piano and sing, and I love to read, hike, surf,do Pilates, yoga, cook, bake, and travel. I am extremely motivated, outgoing, and social and I will always have a positive and resilient attitude despite any circumstances.

I am excellent at working with children, as I used to be a live in caregiver and nanny for many years in university. I am also open to providing help with animals and in nature such as a farm, as I am originally from a farm town in Canada and would love to learn more about how to operate my own farm one day. I am also very good with people, extremely friendly and extroverted, so I am happy to help in a hostel or hotel or travel/tourism project!

I have completed a TEFL course (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and hold my TEFL certificate, thus am a qualified English teacher. I used to teach English in Barcelona, Spain to children and adults and am open to doing that again. I have been learning Spanish and Mandarin Chinese for a few years in university and from my time living abroad, and I would love to learn more to achieve fluency in these languages. I love learning any new languages and am open to learning anything new!

Quais são suas habilidades?

I currently hold a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology and am about to graduate with a Master’s in Epidemiology (infectious diseases) so I am a highly educated , extremely motivated individual and a very fast learner willing to take on all kinds of projects.

I completed a course to become certified as a TEFL
(Teaching English as a Foreign Language) teacher and gained my TEFL certification to be an English teacher in 2021. I have experience teaching English to children and adults, and used to live in Barcelona, Spain working as an English teacher.

During my high school and undergraduate years, I worked as a professional au pair, live-in nanny, and caregiver for children with disabilities. I took a course in child development, and am CPR and first-aid certified. I love caring for children and am highly skilled in this area.

I am great at working with my hands and willing to learn about any new skill or help you with anything you need. I was born on a Canadian farm land, so I have always been interested in farming and animals, as I want to have a family farm one day. I love being outdoors and I am beyond obsessed with flowers and creative outdoor projects, so I would love to help with any gardening needs as well.

I love cooking and baking and would love to assist in and learn new cultural dishes to cook. I also love cleaning and house care, and I am more than happy to help with household chores to create a happy and healthy home environment.

In my free time, I am an artist and musician, so I am happy to help with any interior/exterior design projects or assist in painting projects . I can teach music theory, clarinet, and piano as well.
