Outdoor lover, I've been living in the French Alps for 20 years. I've travelled a lot for work and leisure, but had never taken more than 1 month to travel...As I am between jobs, I took the opportunity to discover for 6 months the country I've been dreaming of since I was a kid : New Zealand.
For me travelling is about understanding the people who actually live in the country and making new connections, and I think sharing daily life with them is the best !
I'm kind of "old" for a workawayer, i've been working for more than 20 years in hospitality and tourism, outdoor industry, i took 2 years renovating my house, am a certified yoga teacher and have been cooking in restaurants for some time the past years (mostly mediterranean cuisine). I'm a hard worker, reliable and easy to get along with.
I love mountains and ocean, have worked summers in Hossegor (french surfing town) for a few years while spending winters in the mountains.
I love skiing and skitouring, mountain biking and hiking, and my water activities are surfing and scuba diving. Last but not least, I am the cool auntie of 6 nephews and nieces between 6 and 16 that I spend a lot of time with !

I love writing, I have been writing for media, and have created a magazine in France about sutainability and environment. I like to share and would love to share my knowledge of French language, written or spoken, give insghts about french/european litterature or culture.

Quais são suas habilidades?

Outside :
- I have a big garden at home where i grow vegetables so i can take care of a garden, I know how to use garden tools, I can pick fruits or vegetables...
- I can do outdoor work like bush cleaning, hedge trimming, weed control, small repairs and construction
- I have a past experience with horses (when I was a teenager) but would be totally ok to work with them again
Inside :
- I have good cooking skills and would be happy to cook for you or larger groups as I have worked in restaurants in France.
- I've worked in hospitality in mountain resorts so can help with housekeeping, preparing rooms, laundry...
- I have renovated and redecorated most of my house during 2 years and can handle small works like painting, small repairs,
- I'm good with a computer and social media
- My main job for 10 years has been sustainaility strategies in tourism and outdoor activities. I am both skilled and passionate about the subject an can totally help you get updated on a lot of subjects
- I'm good with kids ! I have 6 nephews and nieces that I spend a lot of time with, and been working with them as a student job.
