Hi my name is Elisa, my friends call me Elli. I am 34 years old. From February to October 2026, I am going to work and travel through Canada. I can't wait to go there again, meet new people, hoping to gain a lot of valuable work experience on farms and/ or in hostels and get to know Canadian culture and the people.
Over the past few years, I've enjoyed pottering around in a gardening project and on my balcony, growing and caring for plants, and learning more and more about plant care. When I was younger I enjoyed making things out of wood. I'd like to put my technical skills.
I come from an old wine-producing region in Germany. Therefore gain some experience in a winery would also be great.
I am excited where my journey and the workaway platform will bring me.

I hope to spend as much time as possible in nature as I am passionate about sports such as hiking, bouldering, cycling, and any sport involving a ball. My plan is to see some whales, bears (from a safe distance ;)) or other wild animals in nature.

Quais são suas habilidades?

I've studied sociology, worked as research assistant and I am very experienced analyzing data and writing. At my last job in Germany I also gained experience in doing social media stuff.
However, for now I'd prefer to work with my hands ;) I used to work with wood, planting herbs and building stuff like raised beds and growth supports in different gardening projects, as well as planting herbs, and fruits, care for my mother's apple trees and currant bushes. My family and my friends enjoy my cooking skills (vegetarian andb vegan) and I enjoy try out new recipes.

I enjoy doing sports, especially hiking and bouldering (i.e. climbing without a rope in jump altitude). Besides I also enjoy playing board games, going to concerts, and music festivals, art and historic museums. People appreciate that I am a good listener, no matter if it is your funny story or sharing your thoughts about anything and everything.
