Even though Santi-Yami became a part of our family for a short time, we got a chance to learn a lot from them. This couple is very cheerful and friendly. Our children got inspiration from them to be conscious about their health. We got a chance to understand each other's culture and lifestyle.

We feel fortunate to have shared an amazing week with Celia. Delicious cooking and eating (next level!) and inspiring conversations. Thank you for working so diligently in our garden and paying attention to detail. We appreciate your generosity baking extra bread for us to enjoy after your departure. There were several tasks I had found challenging to get to and you were so kind and thoughtful in the way you supported me to get them done. Looking forward to visiting you in Granada!! Jaycie and Isaac are a wonderful young couple, full of youthful exuberance with a good balance of common sense. They have a thirst for knowledge and a desire to learn new skills, particularly - but not limited to the Regenerative/Biological Agronomic sphere. They are self-starters, quick learners and great fun, making working with them a pleasure. In our home they were clean and tidy and always willing to help. Incredible doesn't even begin to describe this place! I came to volunteer for a month, but ended up staying for two and wishing I could have stayed longer. The calligraphy center is the perfect balance: quiet and surrounded by beautiful nature, yet full of interesting people visiting. The work itself is really engaging and fun. Most days it was just me, another volunteer, and one of the calligraphers. We gave tours, welcomed visitors, and kept the place clean. I also helped update Excel sheets for sales, and did some small repairs around the center. The hosts are at the center often, but not 24/7, so you get quite a bit of responsibility and a lot of trust, making it a very fulfilling job. They live nearby and are always quick to respond and help. The whole place functions on open communication and collaboration, which was just incredible to experience. During my stay, I worked alongside both locals and internationals, and got to know a lot about Mongolian culture and calligraphy art. I stayed in a ger, and learned the basics of the Mongol Bichig script. They encouraged me to give small workshops to visitors, and even helped me participate in a local calligraphy competition. On days off, there was so much to explore. The center is in the historical capital, surrounded by UNESCO heritage sites. I went horse riding, camping, visited monasteries, met nomads, and experienced some of the local life. The hosts helped me with transport and recommendations, and joined in for many things. We had a lot of fun together doing dinners, celebrations, going to Naadam, and doing other outings. There are a million more things I could list that I loved about this place, but you'll have to experience that for yourself. This place was my home away from home, and I love the people there dearly. Thank you Agata, Tamir, Tseegii, and all the others - I'm privileged to know you all.

Dear Lya and Oki, It's been months since we parted, yet I still cherish the time spent there. Your place felt like my home in Yogyakarta, and you were like family to me—kind, gentle, positive, always treating me with warmth, care, and patience. Every time I saw you, your faces were lit with smiles. How fortunate I was to join the birthday party, taste the delicious food Lya prepared, witness the local traditional wedding, and even celebrate the annual festival. Thank you so much for everything, and for all the moments we shared together.

Our time (two weeks) at Tihana was ambivalent. First, the bad news: Tihana hardly had any time for us during the first week, and when she was there,#redacted#. The distribution of tasks often seemed disorganized and there were misunderstandings. Unfortunately, we felt as if we were a burden to her. In conversation, we were assured that the opposite was true. She also made negative comments about former volunteers and their work, which made us feel insecure about our work and led to more questions. Tihana viewed this negatively. The profile did not mention that there is no running or hot water (except in her kitchen), which would have been important for us to know in November. The situation is certainly different in summer! On a positive note, she makes a great effort to provide good (and very tasty!) food and the work is distributed according to interest. She listened to us when we raised concerns and made things possible for us. The work itself was easy and fun. The morning walk with Maria was also very nice! The dogs and Tihana's commitment to animal welfare are particularly great. We wish Tihana, Maria and her animals all the best! --- Unsere Zeit (2 Wochen) bei Tihana war ambivalent. Das schlechte zuerst: Tihana hatte in der ersten Woche kaum Zeit für uns und wenn sie da war, #redacted#. Die Aufgabenverteilung wirkte oft unorganisiert und es gab Missverständnisse. Für uns hat sich das leider so angefühlt, als ob wir eine Belastung für sie darstellen würden. Im Gespräch wurde uns das Gegenteil zugesichert. Sie äußerte sich darüber hinaus negativ über ehemalige freiwillige und deren Arbeit, was uns in unserer Arbeit verunsicherte und zu mehr Rückfragen geführt hat. Dies wurde von Tihana negativ bewertet. Im Profil wurde nicht erwähnt, dass es kein fließendes und auch kein warmes Wasser gibt (außer in ihrer Küche), was für uns im November wichtig zu erwähnen gewesen wäre. Im Sommer stellt sich die Situation sicherlich anders dar! Positiv zu benennen ist, dass sie sich sehr darum bemüht, gutes (und sehr leckeres!) Essen zur Verfügung zu stellen und dass die Arbeiten nach Interesse verteilt werden. Sie hat uns zugehört wenn wir Anliegen vorgebracht haben und uns viel möglich gemacht. Die Arbeiten selbst sind einfach und haben Spaß gemacht. Der Morgenspaziergang mit der Mama war auch sehr schön! Besonders toll sind die Hunde und auch Tihanas Engagement für den Tierschutz. Wir wünschen Tihana und ihren Tieren das Beste! ==========

Thank you, Emi, Hermine and the whole family, for welcoming us so warmly! These two weeks were truly wonderful for us. Moving from Chile to Austria has been a big step, and starting our journey in your home was the best thing that could have happened to us. After these two weeks, we genuinely felt at home. Thank you for being so thoughtful, patient (especially with our beginner German haha), loving, and always understanding. Ema had an amazing time exploring every corner of the house and the garden — and so did we. We will miss you, and we hope we can visit again soon. And if you ever come to Pfunds, please let us know! Hi everyone i had the best experience here in mamata s place. She is one of a kind ver y kind and helpful. Her two daughters very lovely and make lots of jokes and lots of play around and the grandparents receive as son it was incredible very nice environment. Work wise if you want to work there is plenty to do otherwise there is the normal hours of workaway pretty chill and you can learn a lot of new staff. If I come back to nepal I ll definitely come back here they are an amazing human beings.😃😘

We stayed two weeks with Gerry and Marcela and had a very good experience, with a variety of tasks suited to our skills. The amenities may seem basic at first, but you get used to them quickly. The place is pleasant and peaceful, especially when the weather is nice. Gerry and Marcela are very welcoming and always smiling. We shared some great meals with them, and Gerry often accompanied us during the tasks — he’s never far away. Milking the goats, making cheese, baking bread, and harvesting were all real pleasures. They are very patient and adapt to everyone’s level of English; even with our rather basic English, we were able to communicate easily. The working hours were very reasonable, and dog lovers will be very happy here. The room provided is located away from the main house, which is really nice — everyone can enjoy their own space and a bit more privacy, with Wi-Fi included. A big thank you to them and to their daughter. 🌸

This was my first Workaway and I could not have asked for a better experience! Alvin and Alice have built something super special and I am grateful to have been a part of it! The kids were all so great and welcoming! The discipline of each one of them (at such a young age) and the work they put into their training and outside of training is super admirable! Some of the things I got to teach them was basic swimming lessons, some cultural exchange & many Kahoots! During my 3 weeks, I have lost count of how much laughter we all had everyday. It was truly a joy to be a part of this wonderful experience! Alvin and Alice were very kind to us too. They placed a lot of trust in us to entertain ourselves and the kids. I learnt a lot from both of them about their vision and care for the community they have built and the future they want to build for the kids! I cannot recommend this experience enough! Go with an open mind, be curious and there will be plenty of inspiration found through Alvin, Alice and the kids. I will definitely be back again when I have the opportunity, the bond created with the kids is something I truly miss <3

I had such an amazing time at this place. I stayed for four weeks and met so many amazing and lovely people, I was so sad to leave and I'd certainly visit again. Living in the community house was great, just make sure to do your part, on average there were 20 people during my stay and it takes a team effort to keep it a nice place to stay. Working on the farm was good fun too and in the kitchen prepping veggies to be sold. you are almost always working alongside other people and we had a good brunch served to us halfway through the workday which was very nice to have. I also very much enjoyed feeding the animals in the evenings. It was a fun chore that you should do with a couple other volunteers. you will almost certainly meet new friends here and share some good times. we had dance parties and played games and shared meals together all the time. Burak has done a lot of hard work to get the place where it's at and I'm very thankful that he's able to incorporate volunteers and give us this experience. I highly recommend giving this place a visit.

I worked at this hostel in Alexandria through Workaway, and it was truly the best Workaway experience I’ve had so far. I came from Türkiye during the school mid-term holiday, and the days I spent here were incredibly productive, beautiful, and unforgettable. Adham, the host, is a wonderful person, and everyone I worked with—including the lady I helped and the staff member—was kind, supportive, and warm. The accommodation was excellent, and I had everything I needed. The location is very close to the market, shops, and transportation, which made getting around very easy. The rooms were clean, and the tasks I did were simple and enjoyable; I mainly helped the staff lady, and it was a very pleasant experience. The hostel’s slogan is ‘Feel at home,’ and I truly felt that during my stay. I will miss Alexandria and the time I spent here so much. I definitely recommend this place to anyone considering a Workaway experience.

Stayed with Ankit for more than two weeks and had a wonderful time at his house! He is super friendly, respectful and always willing to help with any questions or problems. Well traveled as he is he also has a lot of stories to tell which he is also happy to share when someone is interested. Always up for some laugh's as well which creates a very pleasant atmosphere. He really tries to make your stay as comfortable as it can get. The work itself was varied and interesting at the same time. I have learned a lot of new things helping in the garden and inside the house. Clear instructions were given and trust into one's capabilities were shown without one's work being controlled all the time! 10/10! some additional points for the dogs! Rachel & Cam were very good at communicating even before they arrived. They were very pleasant to have around, keeping shared spaces clean & tidy, making some meals & enjoying conversations about cultural experiences in different countries. They were diligent & hard working, doing weeding pruning,turning compost & grouting, all whilst coping witht the tropical heat & starting very early to beat the heat. We enjoyed chatting about wildlife & showing them ours. Don't hesitate to have these two lovely people to stay. Warmest of wishes you guys And thank you 😊 🙏

I really enjoyed my time here. I taught a range of English levels and ages. I had little previous teaching experience but Jhon provided lesson plans for the classes. It was lovely getting to know the students, they were interested and easy going. They taught me a lot about Colombia. Teaching students with a more basic level of English was helpful for my Spanish too. If you’re interested in an intercambio I can definitely recommend this Workaway! Jhon, his family and Anna are very kind people. Gracias a todos por cuidarme! Estoy agradecida.

We stayed with Peta and Mick for two weeks and it was an amazing experience. We had breaks every two hours and never had to work more than agreed. The work was diverse and manageable. Peta welcomed us from the second we arrived with open arms and made sure we felt comfortable and had everything we needed. We cooked every meal together, which was really fun! Peta is a very kind, generous and caring person- everything you could want in a Workaway-Host. In our free time Peta showed us around the area - like the Dorrigo National Park, Bellingen, the Botanical Garden in Coffs Harbour and the Promise Lands. If you are looking for a Workaway with a lovely family, diverse work and a lot of fun in a beautiful area, we would definitely recommend this! Thank you so much for the great time, Peta and Mick!

Anna was an amazing volunteer! She was dedicated, professional and a real team player. She helped us in our daily classes of English, math and arts and also in our extra activities. She was also kind and friendly to the other volunteers and the host family. Thanks Anna for everything, we would love to host you again :)

The stay was really really great! The place is amazing, Sanjay has put a lot of effort and loving into it and you can tell! My day started with some yoga and meditation in the highest part of the farm, near the duck pond (amazing views) and followed with the same calm. The food was absolutely delicious, prepared with care by the greatest cooks (I really miss it). I had the chance to spend my first days alone, peeling garlic, watering the plants, picking raspberries... The work was light and every evening we enjoyed a thrilling table tennis tournament. Then I had the luck to meet a fantastic group of volunteers: Vini, Petru, Ona and Jacqueline. I don't have words to describe the closeness that grew during those few days together. We lived a lot of adventures; we had a pahari party, a picnic in the wild, an awesome ride in a truck along the mountains (himalayas in the horizon)... and we drew a lot. This was my first volunteering experience in India, and it couldn't have been better. I also want to thank everyone on the staff team, you made me feel at home from the very beginning: Vikram for his attention, care and food (best chef ever), Sunil for his dancing lessons, Rohit for his continuous laugh, Ankush for his conversations and his loving "good morning, bro" and Manoj, my friend, for absolutely everything, his closeness, his kindness and his presence everytime we needed it. Thanks also to Akahita for feeling like a friend since the first day, and, of course, to Sanjay, the t-t master. I will miss your space knowledge, your jokes, your unstoppable energy and making videos with you! I hope I can visit you again soon!
