Pia is really caring and will make sure you have the best possible experience.

Pia, the kids and all the animals where amazing and made me feel at home and comfortable. Pia is super nice and helpful. Communication is nice and simple the jobs are nice and simple especially if you like to be outside and along side the horses and dogs.
Every evening Pia prepares a nice dinner with the occasional Rumikub game.

… read more at Pai’s you have your lovely one little space with lots of room and comfort. You have everything you need with a big fridge, microwave, toaster and watercooker.
Every morning Pia makes a list whit chores for the day, you can do everything at your one speed and planning and that is really nice.
On your free days Pia has enough recommendations to go to and do!

She is a lovely young lady and very capable annd experienced around the horses. Celine is clean and tidy, her English is excellent and she is a very hard worker, nothing is too much trouble. I can highly recommend Celine as a helper and houseguest.

My stay at Pia’s Farm was fantastic and I recommend 10/10!
The accommodation was great, lots of space and very well equipped. I had dinner with the family every night and Pia cooked great and always prepared a vegetarian meal for me, which I really appricated!
Communication with Pia was very clear and easy. She explained all the issues and was
… read more very helpful when I had questions. My job was to clean the stables, fill the water buckets and cut the carrots for the horses. Afterwards there was various work, such as picking up sticks around the farm, pulling weeds and picking up Horse Poo in the paddocks. Sometimes I lunged and groomed the pony Narnia, but I don't count that as work because it was fun :D.
I felt very welcome in the family, they took me to Jack's basketball game, took me out to dinner and Summer watched Harry Potter with me. They also always recommended lots of things worth visiting in and around Perth and always drove me to the train station.
I had the best stay and I'm thankful for Pia and the family for making my time in Perth unforgettable!
Thank you for this special time, I miss you so much!

I enjoyed spending my time working outside on the beautiful property surrounded by special animals and the wonderful nature. I loved the routine I had as well as the flexibility that Pia always encouraged. The farm work was great fun, after just a few weeks I felt healthier and mentally so peaceful. After backpacking for 5 months before arriving at pias I couldn’t have asked for a better place to be. I loved having tasty dinners every night with the whole family and was instantly made to feel comfortable and welcome by everyone. I loved spending time getting to know Jack and Summer, they are such great kids who were always so kind, polite and caring towards me.
Pia and Craig were so amazing at offering me advice on places to visit and where to best look for cars to buy. I am so, so grateful to the whole family for such an incredible workaway, it has by far been my favourite voulnteer place and will always hold such a special place in my heart. I plan to stay in Perth a while and I feel I have a family I can go to whenever, which is so reassuring and comforting.
Thank you for the most amazing and special time. I miss you all lots but know I will see you soon.

I was so welcome in Pias family and also sometimes when we went out for example for Jacks Basketball games.
I also had a lot of fun in your pool, especially with summer and Jack during our night swim :).
Because Pia has had many volunteers, everything is well designed for that and communication is very clear with her.

I stayed with Pia for 3 weeks. Every time I think back to these three weeks I feel happy and thankful.
Pia had lots of volunteers already and is very clear in her communication. There are defined daily duties that need to be done and then she adds some different tasks every day. I was pretty slow with the tasks (maybe I'm missing some muscles?!
… read more :D ) but that was not a problem.
The daily tasks include cleaning the stables, filling up the water buckets, picking up sticks and cutting carrots for the horses. Other work I was doing was cleaning the rain gutter, cleaning the big water buckets in the paddocks, picking up sticks and bark and driving it to the burning pile, etc.
I enjoyed the physical work outside so much, it was very healing.
The whole family is very welcoming and nice. We had dinners together, had fun in the pool, watched Jack play the basketball and much more. I stayed during Christmas and the family welcomed me with open arms. I really enjoyed all the Christmas food and celebrations. They always asked me if I want to join them to different events, which made me feel very welcome. Even though Pia is busy with the farm she always has time for a little chat.
The animals are great, especially Mindy the dog is such a beautiful soul. She is always happy about playing with the ball and often hung around me while I was working outside.
The accommodation is clean and spacious. There's a bed, a couch, a table, a wardrobe and some kitchen stuff just to yourself, so you have lots of private space.
When I was going on trips Pia was very flexible and helpful with driving me to the station or picking me up. Her recommendations are great, Rottnest Island was a blast!
I really recommend this work away host, it's such a good place.

I stayed with Pia and her family a little over two weeks.
On my first day on the farm Pia talked and walked me through my daily duties for the next weeks, showed me my room and introduced me to her horses.
I had my own room/apartment with a big bed, a couch, a table, a TV, a cabinet to hang my clothes and a little kitchenette. The fridge was
… read more fully stocked when I arrived and I could tell Pia anytime if I needed anything, she would get it for me. I also had my own bathroom.
Breakfast and Lunch I had on my own, but Dinner I had almost everyday with the family. Which was really nice, Pias cooking is great and we sometimes played games after dinner e.g.: guess the capital (Summer and Jack are really good at this game :D)
My work consisted of my daily duties (cleaning the stables, cutting carrots, filling up water buckets, collecting horse poo) and additional duties Pia gave me during the day like weeding, collecting sticks and bark, collecting dog poo, cleaning the horse trailer, etc).
Communication with Pia was clear and easy. They took me along to Jacks basketball game and Summers dance concert. We even went to the beach with the horses, an experience in itself. Had no idea horses have their own beaches in australia :)
I really liked my stay at Pias farm, I would recommend this to anybody who wants to work outdoors and who loves animals (I played a lot with their dog Mindy, she can´t get enough of catching the ball :))
