  If you’ve followed my story since 2019, you’ll know it has been a journey filled with love, loss, caring for my late husband until 2021, and eventually finding love again. Life has now come full circle in the most beautiful way — I’ve married my childhood sweetheart!
  As we step into this exciting new chapter, it’s time to sell our house in Sydney and transition to our new home in beautiful Whitebridge, Newcastle.and you know we love sharing the workaway life.
  
  With new beginnings come new goals, new adventures and, most importantly, new people to share the journey with. We’re looking for caring, capable and community-minded people to join our teams in both Newcastle and Sydney. Also important to know I need a second eye surgery so having someone we can entrust our home to during these absences greatly valued.
  
  Whether you love animals, enjoy gardening, have a creative streak, want to give back to the community or have skills in media and storytelling, there may be a place for you.
  
  NEWCASTLE TEAM — WHITEBRIDGE - 1–2 people | Starting November
  Our new home is in lovely Whitebridge, where the lookout meets the lagoon, the beach is within walking distance, and beautiful bushland walks are all around us. We’re also only a short trip from Newcastle city.
  
  Pet care and house-sitting
  Help care for our cats and dogs — two of each — as we introduce them to their new home.
  Provide house-sitting and pet care when we travel, go back and forth to Sydney or take a much-needed honeymoon.
  Landcare and environmental restoration
  
  Help establish a landcare project along the retaining wall and adjoining reserve.
  Weeding, planting, mulching and restoring local native flora and fauna.
  Supporting the care of the surrounding natural environment.
  House and garden help
  
  Media and awareness
  Help create social media content for our pages to raise awareness of the projects and causes we support.
  Photography, filming, storytelling, content creation and sharing our community initiatives would be wonderful.
  We’ll also continue supporting charities and community projects, including Shoebox Christmas. Sewing skills and a love of making things for others are especially welcome!
  
  So where do we need help ?
  SYDNEY TEAM — BUSBY - 1–4 people | Starting November
  As we prepare to sell our Sydney home and move into this next stage of life, we could really use some extra hands and willing hearts.
  House and garden help
  
  Help sort, organise and prepare the house and garden.
  Assist with packing, moving and passing things on to PIF and other appropriate destinations as we simplify and transition.
  Help us get everything ready for the next chapter.
  Community charity support — Tuesdays
  
  Join us in supporting a local charity that serves meals to people in our community.
  Help with setting up, preparing the space and packing away afterwards.
  Be part of a practical, welcoming team making a difference for others.
  You don’t need to have every skill. A willingness to help, a positive attitude and a caring heart go a long way.
  
  Who are we hoping to find?
  People who enjoy being part of something meaningful, who value community, nature, animals and helping others.
  
  Whether you’re handy around the house, green-fingered, good with animals, creative with a sewing machine or camera, or simply someone who enjoys lending a hand, we’d love to hear from you.
  
  This is about more than moving house. It’s about creating a new home, caring for the environment, continuing our charitable work and building connections with wonderful people along the way.

  I’ve been a professional tour guide and able to offer intenaries both those hidden gems as well as the tourist main attractions , i have a positive out look on life , you could if interested learn a new set of skills, and skill you up as a careworker , and show you how to turn your skills into a business in the industry , I run Dementia Carers Australia support group , mostly you will know you will make a significance difference everyday.you will gain valuable insight into the value and benefit of community both local and nationally , the difference you make both upfront and behind the scenes

  due to the huge success thus far of the wonderful workaway Friends we have made in our life , there are many options to choose from where you can make a difference, so can’t wait to meet and make new friends around the world, chances are if you have a skill it is likely it is needed and will be appreciated.
  
  WANTED maybe you can teach me Taichi, art painting ,or guitar or ukele , pastry chef or baker bake bread , maybe you have mad skills on a sewing machine and can help make toys for shoe box Christmas or can put together a kit wooden garden shed ?

  THE Cosy adjacent to main house, own room sharing LOFT bathroom in the down stairs LOFT, you have a spacious room , double bed, and single bed, lounge, , plus roll out beds if needed, all linen supplied
  
  THE LOFT, king size bed plus a single ( with plastic storage containers Downstairs ) insulated , downstairs now has internal walls, separate from the main house, own full sized bathroom,kitchenette, fully furnished, king size bed, plus Divan and 3 available roll out beds full linen supplied
  
  ( shared main kitchen and laundry in main house )
  ( both accommodation can accomodate extra people on fold our beds and or divans )

  Too many options , close to transport. we are only about an hour to the city, or beach , 2 hours from mountains, and country ...for summer I know where the best natural water swimming holes are, for something under the water best snorkelling, what about a sunrise from a Beach cave? Camping in a forest ? Can Connect and introduce you to my friends who like to travel have adventures, perhaps best eats? Whatever it is I’m sure I could point you in the right direction

  I’m a cat, what can I say I love cuddles all day long and all night,I’m an indoor cat and have my own cat run to outside . I’m about ten years old now I’m vocal and make sure the house is run on time like my feeds at 8am and 5pm, I love being brushed, I bring dried flowers every day run as a sign of love and attention But you have to be very careful as occasionally some of the sticks and leaves are in fact stick insects so look carefully before sweeping And need to be relocated to garden I’m Elly I think I’m a dog, I love to roll in the dirt or grass on my escape days , I was a rescue cat dumped at Macdonalds started my career early as a therapy cat for palliative, rehab and dementia patients , I love pats but not as much as Buttons
