  I live on Auckland's North Shore close to a bus hub which quickly connects with the rest of the city via a dedicated bus route. There are lots of green spaces for walking or relaxation and lots of sandy bays within easy reach. If you are a movie buff there are excellent cinemas close by and if you like shopping in malls there are plenty of those too. Life on the North Shore is a lot less hectic than in the centre of the city and visitors attest that the people who live are friendlier too.

  I can show you parts of Auckland city that you might not find by yourself. I am a native English speaker who enjoys conversations, both casual and serious and can help you understand the peculiarities of my country and its history. By hosting people from other cultures I hope to deepen my understanding of other ways of seeing the world and how we can cooperate together to achieve a more peaceful world. Aotearoa New Zealand is physically isolated from the rest of the world so we need to encounter people from other parts of the world so we don't become inward-looking and complacent.

  I am looking for volunteers who speak French who will help me improve my French conversation skills. And if you want to improve your English speaking skills I am able and willing to help with that too.

  Acomodação

  I can offer a clean, sunny room with a king single sized bed with an electric blanket to warm the bed if you come during the winter months. I can cook well and appreciate learning about other cuisines. I am prepared to make most of the meals but would appreciate someone else taking a turn occasionally.
