  Located in the North of Thailand, we are a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to improve education opportunities and the quality of life of underprivileged children and youths in the rural areas of Phayao Province. With the support of our local and foreign volunteers, we are dedicated to give our students the necessary life skills and knowledge that they can utilize to enhance their lives and the lives of their families and community. We are comprised of a community that shows concern for the world and its inhabitants.
  
  The group’s core objective is to connect passionate, open-minded, and respectful individuals to motivate, inspire, and elevate one another as well as those around them. We greatly appreciate your help and kindness, so that together, we can make the world a better place.

  Volunteers will have the opportunity to learn about Thai culture, language, history and cuisine. Most of our schools are located in villages surrounded by beautiful greenery, including rice fields and fruit farms. You will enjoy various dishes from our Thai cuisine provided by the hosts in the community, and opportunities to explore our amazing Thai history. We are more than happy to take you to enjoy our local life, visit famous sights in our province or assist you to visit nearby tourist places.

  We are currently welcoming volunteers to assist us with some of our rural public schools that are in need of help with the teaching of the English language. Our foreign volunteers will be sent to these schools to assist the Thai English teachers in their classrooms which can make a much needed positive impact on the lives of the students and their families. We invite you to come teach Basic English to our students in our schools located in small villages in the countryside. You do not need to speak Thai. We are looking for English speakers to help our students to learn English basic conversation and verbal communication. Volunteers will interact with students alone while the local teacher will be with you in the classroom in case you need any assistance. Prior teaching experience is a plus! This is a great opportunity for you to learn about Thai culture and language!
  
  School 1:
  
  We are a beautiful primary school, teaching 350 students from kindergarten to grade 6. Our school is located in a countryside village near to the famous Phayao Lake and 15 Km from downtown Phayao city with a mini mall, local markets, street food, tourist places, public parks, gyms, restaurants, the lake boardwalk etc. All the teachers and students at our school are lovely and very friendly. We are all excited to meet foreign volunteers and learn all about their culture and share ours with them.
  
  School 2:
  
  We are a a big high-school that has been a trusted educational institution for many generations, currently teaching 2,675 students from Grade 7 to 12. The school is located in Chiang Kham, one of the coziest countryside districts in Phayao province. The school is near one of the most famous unseen landmarks of Phayao, Wat Nantaram (Nantaram temple) which holds many important artifacts and ancient knowledge. We are also close to the Thai Lue House in Ban That and the skywalk bridge in Ban Mang. The Phusang waterfall, one of the greatest national parks in this city is also about 22 kilometers away. We can't wait to meet you and have you take part in our vibrant school community!

  Our volunteers will be staying at the schools campuses in rooms that would include fans and a bathroom with a hot shower. Bicycles are available for the volunteers to enjoy ridding around the village. WiFi is available and we provide free meals every day!

  • Phayao province does not have an airport. To get to Phayao you need to fly into Chiang Rai or Chiang Mai airport and take a bus to Phayao.

  - Chiang Mai to Phayao, 3h by bus
  - Bangkok to Phayao, 11h by bus
  
  Our teachers will gladly provide you with a ride from and to the nearest bus station.

  •Schools will be closed for the following dates:
  From October 11 to 26 (Break between the 2 semesters)
  From December 28 to January 3rd (New Year’s Break)
  From March 14 to May 10 (Summer Break)
  
  •We apologize for not being able to accommodate volunteers with special dietary requirements such as vegetarians, vegans, halal, etc.
  
  •We provide the volunteers lodging and meals in return for their generous services. Please note that housing is on campus, smoking, and consumption of alcohol will not be allowed.
  We expect candidates will have the ability to acclimate themselves to the local customs and mentality. e.g. dress conservatively, avoid public displays of affection etc. We are dedicated not only to help the children but also to make the helping and living conditions of our volunteer teachers really pleasant.

  A Workaway oferece oportunidades de intercâmbios culturais não monetários, em que os anfitriões fornecem alimentação e acomodação em troca da ajuda dos Workawayers. Em alguns casos excepcionais, uma pequena taxa/pedido de doação (normalmente não mais do que 5 dólares por dia) pode ser aprovada para anfitriões, como instituições de caridade registradas com histórico de feedback positivo de voluntários. Qualquer taxa deve ir diretamente para a instituição de caridade e só pode ser usada para cobrir os custos de alimentação dos voluntários. Isso será claramente indicado na listagem do anfitrião.
