Looking for someone who speak with English and want to be part of our family

We are a young family with five children (newborn twins, 3,6 and 8). We live in small traditional village in new house with garden. We also take care of vineyards and want to have small orchards. You will have room, bathroom and kitchen is shared with us.
We have meat at lunch usually 4 times a week, pork very seldom... We try to avoid sugar and candies (sugar free). We try to cook from basic food. We use home made washing detergent, and we avoid almost all drugstore stuff. We want to have minimalist household- please dont give us nothing like presents or candies.

I am at home with my children, and my husband works as a manager. We are looking forward to meet new people from other countries (get to know foreign language, country stories, economics, politics, interpersonal relationship). We lived in Germany few years in the past. Our village is situated near the Slovak and Austrian borders. You can get to us from Vienna or Bratislava airport in about 2 hours by public transport. We can give you tips for trips around. We can borrow you bicycles for some trips, take care of transport from train/to train by car.

Ajuda
We primarily want to practice a foreign language. We expect your help around house, in the garden, clean the house or babysitting . It would be nice if you could cook a typical meal of your country. We like walking around the village, talking with people. There are 3 family farms around, where we usually walk with kids.

Here's the short version of my review: If you love children and want to have a true Czech/Slovakian cultural experience and enjoy eco living, look no further!!!! You will love it!

Here's the more detailed version of my 3 week stay: Simona and Juraj (George to me) were incredibly warm and accommodating hosts. From the very beginning, they were… read more communicative and concerned with my needs. Juraj came to pick me up in his beloved electric car and saved me from having to deal with public transportation as it's not very easy or available in Vacenovice. Normally, I like to go around and explore the area on my own but I was happy to join them on a day trip to Prague and to go with them to visit family, run errands, and take walks in the village. I especially loved going to the family wine cellar where we'd admire the renovations and Simona's brother's amazing wine. The neighbors were also happy to share their wine and show me their cellars. The time went by so quickly.

Simona was a wonderful teacher. She had different activities (nothing seemed like work) that she thoughtfully planned out each day and was always checking to make sure it was something that I was okay doing. She showed incredible patience with me when she tried to teach me how to do bobbin lace. She helped me to make a lace Christmas ornament. (I'm all thumbs.) She taught me several traditional recipes, how to make wax fabric to eliminate the need for plastic wrap and wax paper. I cooked a few meals too. We weeded in the garden, picked cherries, strawberries, peas,lavender, and camomile and elderberry flowers. She will tell you that she's not a good cook and that her English isn't very good, but she underestimates herself. I would correct her English as she spoke and I played with her two funny little girls. I was really happy that in just 3 weeks they were able to sing some English songs and seemed to be understanding me more. They're like little sponges! They absorbed so much in such a short time. If you go, please practice the "Itsy Bitsy Spider" with them! They loved my little dog, Itsy. Sarah was like a little Mamma watching over to make sure Angie was gentle. The "Super Simple Songs" from YouTube were a big hit too, especially "Open Shut Them."

I woke up between 8am and 9am and went to bed around midnight. I'd interact with the family as I was a part of it, I didn't keep a schedule. We would eat breakfast together which would be yogurt, fruit, bread, oats, etc and a great cappuccino. I was free to prepare what I liked and was always encouraged to help myself to anything. Lunch is the main meal of the day, always a soup with delicious home grown and local veggies for a first dish and then a meat dish with more veggies, and a starch. Dinner was raw veggies, breads, spreads, garden pesto, eggs, sausage, or leftovers. I liked this style of eating, much different than the American traditions. The girls would generally be up until 21:30 and had so much energy up until bedtime. Where they get it, I don't know, as it's a sugar free family! I learned that honey in my coffee was actually really nice. When they went to the grocery, they always offered to get anything I wanted, but I chose to eat how the family ate with the exception of my request for yogurt. It was a great way to help me break some bad eating habits!

I will miss Juraj's sense of humor, the children's laughter, and Simona's kind spirit and enthusiasm to teach and learn. I'm inspired to make more changes to help the earth and lead a simple life.
