Monika was such an amazing first host to have woofing, she was so friendly and accommodating and was always up for a chat. She made really tasty food and her house felt like a home from home. I have been hosting woofers/workaways for over 20 years and Felix was one of the BEST. What a friendly, mindful, talented and hardworking man and he is only 18 years old. I can highly recommend him. He will always be welcome if he ever wants to return to my place.

I had a great stay with Monika. She is a really nice and kind person. I had great conversations with her. The work wasn't hard and not too much. The house and the surrounding area are beautiful. The dog Koda is really lovely and likes everyone. Thank you Monika for these nice two weeks!

I had a very nice stay for 2 weeks with Monika. Nice work & relaxing athmosphere.
I’d recommend you to have your own transportation as it’s quite a long way to town by foot

As a host you would want to keep Jenny and Henrik for all year around. They are hard working wwoofers and they know what they are doing. No matter, what job I gave them, they completed it to my full satisfaction without any supervision. They are a really nice and easygoing couple and I wish them all the best for their time in New Zealand.

We have stayed here for four weeks and did mostly gardening. The property is awesome and the animals are very good. We really enjoyed the work in the garden. This was mostly a part of the garden which hasn't been done in a while and we loved doing that part. We also did weeding, cutting, mowing the lawn, working with the weed whacker, watering the
… read more plants, feeding the chickens, walking the dog and help cleaning the house. Monika has two dogs, two cows, a turkey, some chickens, two ducks and a cat. We enjoyed playing ball with the dogs. The property is surrounded by great nature. You can swim in the river and hike a mountain close by. The pinnacles are also not far. Thames is around 10 minutes drive away. Even though Monika goes often to town. We would recommend your own car to be more independent. Sundays is normally the day off but you can also change the day without any problems. On these days you have to provide your own food just like dinner on the working days. There is wifi available which cost 1 NZD per day. Monika herself is a communicative person and will give you advices for your stay in New Zealand.
