Neils carpentry and general DIY skills were so helpful. During the time with us he repaired gates, pollard trees, laid new floors and insulation, fitted interior coving and many more things.
Renee was a knowable and enthusiastic Gardner . She often worked alone and simply got on with the task with knowledge and understanding of what needed to be done.
We have not only had a great work away experience we have also made 2 dear friends.

My wife and I spent 5 glorious weeks with Ian and Hugh on their park like estate. Communication prior to our arrival was outstanding, emails were promptly answered in detail and our arrival could not have gone any smoother.
We had a variety of jobs that included gardening , wood chopping, repairing gates and other general maintenance. Ian and Hugh
… read more were great to work with, all the tasks were manageable and their expectations were always reasonable.
Mealtimes were a highlight of the day ,not just because Hugh served up restaurant quality meals, but because of the conversations and laughter.
The accommodation was independent of the main house. Extremely well appointed spacious, and good internet.
The star of the show is Stanley the dog. You couldn’t ask for a more cheerful and loveable pet.
Ian and Hugh made sure that we saw the surrounding area, villages, chateaus etc. and other local attractions.

Timothy was the prefect workaway. He was ultra respectful of our home and settled into our everyday routine With ease. He worked hard, completing all the tasks and more that we had scheduled. He's strong and determined and on many occasions would not stop work until the job was completed, even though he was well over due to stop for the day.

Timothy is an interesting guy, we enjoyed happy meal times with energetic and interesting conversation. We hope that he will return and we certainly will be keeping in touch.
We do not hesitate to recommend him to other hosts.

They opened their lovely home to me and provided wonderful accommodations, good food, and delightful conversation. They graciously assisted me with
… read more learning about the area, its culture and customs and involved me in many of their social activities. There was a lot of laughter, good hard work, and ample down time. Stanley, the manor dog, was a particular joy for me, and I enjoyed spending quality time with him as well as the guys. After only three weeks, I truly consider them as friends and given the opportunity I would not hesitate to return. They are truly 5-star individuals.
