I had the best time at Bill's place! I stayed there for 3 months and I wish I could have stayed for the whole season. I definitely recommend a longer stay to get the best experience. Bill appreciated my help and made my stay as good as possible. I would have snuggled Malibu and Major in my backpack if I could. Thank you Bill for this great time!

I really enjoyed my Workaway at Bill's. The routine with the horses was nice and the cabin was comfortable and spacious. It was really interesting learning about and watching the polo events. Nicole stayed with us for a few weeks and was a great help. She worked well with the horses and I would say an intermediate rider. She was very punctual and respectful and looked after the accommodation and kept everything neat and tidy. The stay with Bill, Rachael and the kids was awesome! We went to Polo events which was an amazing experience. The horses were easy to ride and all in all lovely. Bill teached me about Polo and let me try it. The work was not too hard and not too much. If there were any problems Bill tried to fix them as fast as possible. He also sometimes drove me

Bill and his family welcomed me very warmly and I felt comfortable from the first second. On the very first day, I had the chance to accompany Bill and the horses to a polo game and was able to catch fire for polo directly.
99% of my tasks consisted of horse-related work and training of the horses. All horses are very well trained and easy to
… read more handle. The slightly more strenuous work such as feeding, rugging and picking up horse poo from the dayyards was a maximum of 1 hour a day. The training of the horses is also part of working hours.
Bill is a great horse person who cares about his horses much. His attitude towards the horses is absolutely fair.
In the polo season, polo games take place almost every weekend. There you help preparing the horses and taking care afterwards. These days can be long, but in my opinion it's worth it!
When Bill is on business trips you might have the chance to have free weekends and you can also plan an overnight trip in consultation with him.
Sometimes Bill's friends come by to train Bill's or their own horses. Otherwise, life in the countryside is more characterized by animals and nature.
Bill and his family are super sociable and they are dear people you can talk great and thus learn a lot about life in Australia.
The accommodation is a dream, you have your own cabin. The bathroom has been recently renovated and the rest of the equipment is also great. There is even heating for the colder months. You definitely have everything you need to have a good time. Food is paid for by Bill and there are enough kitchen appliances that you can provide yourself with great dishes.
It's really a shame that I could only stay for 2 weeks. Since I felt like at home, I could have stayed longer without any problems.
I was so enthusiastic about Polo that I can now try to play it at home and then hopefully one day play a game with or against Bill.

I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay at! it was my first time in Australia and I had such a good time working with the horses and learned so much from Bill about everything that Polo is about. … read more longer and would definitely wanna go back! This is a place that I highly recommend with beautiful accommodations. Every morning I would have breakfast overlooking the beautiful Australian landscape and watching kangaroos in my backyard.

G'day mates !
What can I say about my seven weeks at Bill's farm except that it was perfect, so thank you very much ! Fifteen thousand kilometers far away my home, I have learnt a new culture and I lived the australian way of life.

I discovered the Polo universe and it's really interesting !
The accommodation is very comfortable and you have a great view into their olive orchard.
I have learnt a lot during this stay, and I will never forget all the good moments we shared together, with the family and also with the others workawayers, in general, at the Polo trainings or also in the night around the fire sharing beers !

We spent three amazing weeks at Bill's Polo Farm. Bill and his family are absolutely lovely people. We had a couple delicious dinner together. Rachel is a really good cook :)
