Update (February 2025):
We are looking for volunteers to become part of our growing eco-community. If you have skills in carpentry, gardening, cooking, permaculture, or regenerative agriculture, we’d love to have you on board!
Our project is all about sustainable living and self-sufficiency. And lots of fun adventures.

Hello everyone!
We are happy to invite volunteers to our new home in Sierra de Gredos.
We are two families, Jonathan and Aya and Guy and Noam with 3 kids (ages 8, 5, 2).
After many years of travels around the world, we finally managed to fulfill our dream and purchased a beautiful farm in Villanueva de La Vera (2 hours from Madrid) where we are developing our eco, off grid farm, GECO Village.
Accommodation - we offer volunteers to come with campers, vans. We provide tents with proper sleeping arrangements on our land.
Meals - we offer 3 meals a day together with us. We love to cook and it's the best way to get to know each other.. Usually vegan or vegetarian.

A bit more about ourselves and the farm:
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we realized that Europe in general and Spain in particular can offer us what we are looking for in terms of land. We traveled the country for few years until we discovered Sierra de Gredos in 2020 (by chance - we looked for a campsite on the way from north of Spain to the South).
We fell in love with the peaceful energy of the area, the green nature and endless of springs and rivers. We learned that the locals call the area "the forgotten land". The mountains hills full of oak and pine trees, lavender and rosemary bushes.
Now, three years since the first time we visited our land and endless trips to the area, we are in the last part of the first phase of our journey - the creation of the base camp.
We are inviting volunteers and visitors from around the world to join us and create a unique and special experience in the heart of Sierra de Gredos.

Travelers will get to meet our families and ourselves. We are four adults with experience in interior design, development, art, construction and more. We travelled in over 50 countries and lived around the world. In addition, we will share meals together during their stay, cook together and get to know each other. Travelers will get to meet other families like us who can offer new experiences and Workaway's projects. Believe us - it will be a great experience for you. Our farm/land is a beautiful place full of opportunities - workshops, meetups, building community and more.

Ajuda
We welcome volunteers who can help us with general maintainance - garden, kitchen, facilities and more.
We are looking for general volunteers who can help us with different tasks around the our land (we own 42 hectares of wild nature with a river, springs) and with the creation of our base camp.

We also have tents and sleeping arrangements for volunteers. We have compost toilets and showers on site.
We welcome volunteers with campers, vans and tents to come and stay with us on our land.

We can host digital nomads. There is a great connection and we will install a Starlink connection and in the first few weeks build a big office space for any need.
