Claudine stayed with us for 2 weeks and we liked having her! The children enjoyed spending time with her and she had no problem adjusting to our daily routines. My stay with Meret, Patrick and the lovely kids was a wonderful time I won’t be forgetting. It was such a delightful time I got to spent with them, exchanging our cultures while also talking about the simplest things in life and learning German. They are super welcoming, sweet, open, caring and made me feel at home right from the moment I arrived.
… read more I found much pleasure in drawing and playing with the kids, that are so adorable and lively. Every meal cooked by Meret and Patrick was delicious, and they were very considerate of me, a vegetarian. I also had a lot of fun cooking meals and sitting at the table together enjoying the meals, which was one of my favourite wholesome moments I shared with them.
The tasks, like washing the dishes and taking care of the laundry, were simple and didn’t take long to finish. I was also able to be very flexible with them, which was super nice. After my shift I would go out to explore Lausanne or the other lovely towns nearby. They live in an area with beautiful views on the lake and the mountains, which is nice whenever you want to go on walks around the neighbourhood.

Sabrina spent two weeks with us and it went by too fast. She's great company, very respectful, independent, sees what needs to be done without instructions, funny, good English skills, easy to talk to and interested in cultural exchange. The children loved her company as well and liked her from the beginning even with the language barrier. Our
… read more house was so clean all the time, she prepared yummy meals, it was so good to have a helpful hand with the children and we even managed to do a beautiful art project together. Thank you, Sabrina, for all the help, good company, the recipes from Uruguay and the drawings for our daughter. We hope to see you again!

Nellie was our first workaway guest and it was an overall great experience!
I never had to explain tasks step by step, she would always see where help was needed and was really well organized and independent. Our apartment was so tidy and clean every day.
She's great with children and they were so confident with her from the beginning.

Meret and Patrik were amazing hosts and my time in Switzerland was unforgetble. The lake, the mountains, Meret’s and Patrik’s home, everything was beautiful! But the best part was to get to know their fun and kind children! Just looking at them made me so happy and full of joy.

The work I did was simple housework and I had a lot of extra time to explore the moutains and swim in the lake.
