  Our former water mill is situated in private setting with a little current, meadows and a small piece of wood near the geographical center of Germany on the southern edge of the Harz mountains. Since the building has been abandoned for more or less 15 years, there is lots of things to do. We started with a little community and all these wonderful helpers in January 2016 to restore the place mainly with material out of nature and from the neighbourhood ;-)
  More than building new features, things are rearranged. Hence a former dog pound became a greenhouse with raised beds. Existing fences were taken down in order to re-erect them as a surrounding of the cottage garden. In the house, sleeping rooms are converted into an office, kitchen/ sitting room and the mill tower contains whatever we need at the moment. We love to experiment and to get creative. With some closed down train rails next door, the old mill current, a past electricity-supply tower, plenty of wild nature around us, a wonderful four-sided farm... it seems opportunities are endless. It is our aim to give back to this mill the love it deserves, to find compromises with the arisen wild, wonderful nature, to create a place for living together, to use wild herbs and other gifts from nature and to observe a lot foremost, before we interfere.
  By now a little family lives here: Jule, Stephan and our children Jakob *2019 and Lotte *2021. We would love to have support with exploring things with our children and cooking. So there is more time left for mill-projects ;-)
  Befor it happened that we became a familiy, we started into the day with morning gymnastics/ Yoga, collected wild herbs for a smoothie and saw about, what the day holds in store for us. Quite often, the evenings were spent together, making music around the fire, we painted, knitted … With helpers we want to include these activities again into our live :-) especially our vegetablegarden is not getting attention at all :-(
  Vegetarian and vegan meals are possible. What we wish for is a welcoming place full of trust, awareness and no need for drugs and alcohol...
  
  
  BESCHREIBUNG:
  Unsere ehemalige Wassermühle befindet sich nahe der geografischen Mitte Deutschlands am Rande des Südharzes in Alleinlage mit Fluss, Wiesen und kleinem Wäldchen. Nach mehr oder weniger 15 Jahren Leerstand ist viel zu tun aber auch vieles möglich:-) Januar 2016 haben wir mit einer kleinen Gemeinschaft und vielen wundervollen Helfern angefangen diesen Platz, hauptsächlich mit vorhandenen Materialien aus der Natur und der Nachbarschaft, zu restaurieren ;-) Auch wird eher umgestaltet als neu gebaut. So entsteht aus einem Hundezwinger ein Gewächshaus mit Hochbeeten. Vorhandene Zäune werden abgebaut und als Umrandung des Bauerngartens wieder aufgebaut. Innen werden aus Schlafzimmern Büro und Wohn- / Kochstube und aus dem Mühlturm alles was gerade benötigt wird. Wir lieben es auszuprobieren und kreativ zu werden. Mit einem stillgelegten Bahngleis nebenan, einem alten Mühlgraben, einem ehemaligen Elektrizitäts-Türmchen, viel wilder Natur, einem wunderschönen fast 4-Seit-Hof, ... sind auch unbegrenzte Möglichkeiten dazu geboten. Unser Ziel ist es, dieser Mühle wieder die verdiente Liebe zu schenken, mit der neu entstandenen wilden, wunderschönen Natur Kompromisse zu finden einen gemeinsamen Lebensort zu kreieren, die Wildkräuter und Geschenke aus der Natur zu nutzen und erstmal viel zu beobachten, bevor wir eingreifen.
  Mittlerweile lebt eine kleine Familie hier: Jule, Stephan und unsere Kinder Jakob *2019 and Lotte *2021. Wir wünschen uns Hilfe mit allem was so im Alltag ansteht, damit wir wieder mehr Zeit und Energie für spannende Mühlen-Projekte haben.
  Vor der Familiengründung sind wir mit Yoga, Kräutersammeln für Smoothie und Überlegen, was der Tag so bringt, gestartet. Die Abende haben wir gerne in geselliger Runde verbracht. Haben Musik gemacht, ein Lagerfeuer, gemalt, gestrickt...
  Mit dem Wiedereinstieg ins Wwoof-Leben wollen wir diese Dinge wieder mehr in unser Leben integrieren:-) Besonders unser Gemüsegarten bekommt momentan sehr wenig Beachtung :-(
  Vegetarische und Vegane Mahlzeiten sind möglich. Wir wünschen uns einen geliebten Ort voller Vertrauen, Bewusstsein und Achtsamkeit ohne Bedürfnis nach Alkohol und Drogen.

  This place is so beautiful and worth to see and support. once a year we are organising a theater workshop. if possible, we start into the day with morning gymnastics/ Yoga, collect wild herbs for a smoothie and see about, what the day holds in store for us. We are working a lot with clay and wood. Quite often, the evenings are spent together, making music around the fire, … What we wish for is a welcoming place full of trust and awareness.

  almost all helpers are just enjoying this beautiful super calm place to relax and explore, close to the hartz mountains, beautiful landscape, natural fish lakes to swim, beautiful little river, 1 hour ride to the beautiful citys Göttingen, Erfurt, Weimar, Leipzig, Jena. buses are driving from our place to a train station.

  The campsite is big, on a crushed rock place, underneath a big lime and surrounded by bushes and trees. off site with more privacy, but access to electricity.

  We have a dog. in the beginning not always happy about other dogs, but after a while quite often ready to play. for horses or dunkeys we have a field but no fences or stables.
