My experience in Costuleni is one I am so grateful for and one I will cherish some of the best memories from. You will partake in different activities for the children such as art, sports, music, cooking, etc. You don't need to be able to speak Romanian, but the people will appreciate your willingness to learn and communicate. … read more thrilled to meet people from different cultures speaking different languages, so it is a great opportunity for cultural exchange.
On the weekend after summer week, Suzanne organized for us a horse and carriage ride through the hills of the village, a tour of the city of Iasi, and more. In the evenings we were invited for amazing Romanian dinners by different families, and even learned a bit of Romanian traditional dancing! I was very humbled at such warm welcomes from everyone and will never forget the generosity of the people of Costuleni.
If you love being around children and want to experience a beautiful part of Romania, this is the place for you!

I can't describe how amazing this experience was to me!
Together with local and international volunteers, we tried our best to organize a week of activities to hundreds of incredible kids! We had the opportunity to meet welcoming and sweet people, to discover a bit of Romanian culture (really good food by the way), and the area of Moldova which

Anyway I highly recommend to volunteer in Costuleni next Summer and I would definitly come back if I could!

It was great having Libby around! She is a friendly, intelligent and caring person that is interested in people and the place she visits. She is independent and takes initiative even if she does not speak the language. She likes children and they like her! She is curious to try new things, flexible and does not ask for luxurious condition to stay
