Descrição
We are Dani & Ralf, running a cozy, nature-focused campsite tucked into the scenic Taunus forest, just a stone's throw from Frankfurt. Beside our terraced pitches and 9 unique rental cabins, we host a vibrant outdoor beer garden ("Deck 39"), organize live music, yoga sessions, and small community events. We love good food, creative outdoor spaces, and welcoming guests who appreciate nature.
To keep this special place humming, we are looking for reliable, hands-on Workawayers to support us next season! -

Ajuda
We don’t expect absolute perfection or years of mastery in every area, but having real, practical skills and prior experience in your chosen field is essential for a smooth workflow:
- Reception & Guest Relations: Welcoming international guests, managing check-ins/check-outs, providing local recommendations, and handling daily front-desk administrative tasks. Languages: Fluent English is required; Dutch is extremely helpful and highly appreciated, as we welcome a very high number of Dutch travelers throughout the season!
- Kitchen Support (Gastronomy Experience Required): Assisting with prep work, food service, and kitchen routines during beer garden hours. Prior practical experience in professional kitchens or fast-paced food service is essential.
- Bar & Beverage Management: More than just serving drinks! You’ll help manage beverage inventory, restock fridges, handle stock levels, and ensure the bar area runs smoothly and stays well-organized.
- Housekeeping & Sanitation: Taking pride in keeping our 9 rental cabins spotless for new arrivals, as well as maintaining our central shower/wash facilities to high hygienic standards.
- Gardening, Landscaping & Maintenance: Hands-on work outdoors! From lawn care, seasonal planting, and trail maintenance to small DIY repairs around the site, cabins, and infrastructure.
Please note: A valid driver’s license is mandatory for all team members. -

Acomodação
- On-Site / Local Living: You will have comfortable accommodation (shared or individual depending on availability) with access to Wi-Fi, bathroom facilities, and laundry.
- Mobility & Car Option: We provide bicycles for local trips around the area. Since a valid driver’s license is required, we also have a rental car available for team use, which is billed at a very low, fair rate per kilometer to cover fuel and running costs—perfect for exploring the Rhine-Main region or taking day trips on your time off! -
Algo mais...
We don’t require formal degrees for most roles—what we care about most is a proactive mindset, reliability, and positive energy. Running a bustling nature campsite and outdoor beer garden (Deck 39) involves a mix of rewarding moments and intense, physically active days. Our goal as owners and team is always to keep the good vibes going, take pride in what we do, and enjoy our time together.
The work here is hands-on and structured. We will show you our specific routines and guide you, but we rely on Workawayers who bring the foundational skills mentioned above, take initiative, and work independently.
Working Hours, Compensation & Conditions
- Structured Schedule: Our main operational days for the beer garden and guest check-ins center around Thursdays to Sundays and public holidays, though site maintenance and housekeeping run throughout the week.
- Flexible Hours & Paid Effort: Depending on our agreement and the season's flow, you can expect between 25 to 40+ hours per week. Because we expect real effort and efficiency during busy periods, hours worked are fairly compensated on an hourly basis, helping you boost your travel budget.
- Food & Drinks: Please note that we do not provide free full catering. Instead, we offer a generous staff discount on all food and beverages from our kitchen and beer garden menu (Deck 39). You are also welcome to use our team kitchen facilities to cook your own meals.
- Minimum Stay: To ensure a smooth workflow and a good team dynamic, we prefer stays of at least 2 to 3 months (longer stays are very welcome!).
- First Contact: Before confirming any stay, we always arrange a short video call so we can get to know each other, discuss expectations openly, and make sure it’s a mutual fit.
Note: We value real human connections! Personal messages written in your own words get top priority—show us that you've read our profile and tell us why you'd like to join us at The Eppstein Project. -

I spent almost 4 months there, but I'd have stayed longer if I could! I arrived there by chance, and I sincerely had a wonderful time there. I fell in love with the place, with the people, the culture and the language.

I stayed at The Epstein Project from May to June, and it was a great experience, very suitable for me for many reasons.
I had three main tasks: cleaning the bathrooms, working in the garden (cutting hedges, planting, etc.), and helping as a cashier in the Biergarten kitchen. The team language was English but my fluent German was still … read more
