CURRENTLY CLOSED FOR WINTER
I practise regenerative farming. It is about discovering how to grow food as a part of the natural cycles of nature, and restoring them in the process. This means that I am simultaneously trying to regenerate the local natural forest while growing fruit and vegetables in the same location.
It is an odyssey of discovery in all of ecology, farming and human nature, and involves re-inventing almost every aspect and area of life.
The farm has no buildings, no electricity, no toilets, no waste disposal. I live a moneyless, transportless lifestyle. All food is either grown, gathered or gleaned. Diet is 90%+ organic (sometimes I glean from non-organic neighbors). I usually do not cook, just eat everything raw as is. You can cook in the sun or on a wood fire if you wish, pots are available.
You are invited to come and be part of this fascinating journey.
The approach here goes beyond commonly practiced farming techniques such as permaculture and natural farming. Here food production is indistiguishable from the regeneration of natural native forest. The cultivated plants and the wild plants grow together in harmony and the love and respect shown for the soil is returned as amazingly tasty food.
Life here works differently from elsewhere and much is dictated by the natural environment. There is no artificial lighting, so sometimes work is before dawn when it is cool and there is a morning moon, sometimes during the day when a cool breeze is blowing. Everything goes with a natural ebb and flow - going by instinct and feeling and not forcing yourself into an artificial schedule.
Here there is no mask wearing and no pretending. You can just be who you are and what you are and be real and honest about it. It may take a bit of getting used to - but there is no point in lying to the trees - they see right through us :)
This is not wannabee ecology, this is the real thing. Here you don't have a small ecological footprint, your footprints are a part of nature. When you sleep and walk you break up the dead leaves and plants ready for recycling, urination and defecation are in carefully chosen locations where they have optimum value for the soil and contained seeds can germinate. The wild animals communicate with you and become accustomed to your presence. Nature becomes your greatest assistant and friend.

Activities are eating, things related to eating (sowing, planting, watering) and restoring nature (cleaning, planting, mulching). Life is without clocks or concepts of time - living at the pace of your body, your soul and your surroundings.
Generally I will describe the various projects available and then let the volunteer choose what suits them and let them run with it at their pace. I believe that obligation inhibits creativity and thus seek to let people find their own sources of inspiration - be it love of nature, internal drive, rebellion, ideology, artistic creativity.
Food is gathered either from what grows planted or wild on the land I am regenerating or gleaned from the excesses in the fields and plantations in the vicinity.
No previous farming experience is necessary.

Conditions are simple - living outdoors in the forest or the grassland, as you choose.
You can bring a tent if you wish, or make one when you arrive, or just live outside like me. The climate is mild.
You will gain knowledge of ecosystems and sustainable farming, and of unique techniques not practiced anywhere else - co-existence with weeds for example. More than anything else you will gain an understanding of yourself, of humanity, of life and of how precious all that green stuff around us really is.
