  Hello and welcome!
  
  We are Clara and Chris and we live with our two children (15 and 17 years old), two cats, chickens and goats in a village in Schleswig-Holstein, in a quiet rural location about 6 km from the Baltic Sea. Directly behind our property there is a small, quiet local football field.
  We live close to nature and spend a lot of time outdoors. The Baltic Sea is easy to reach by bicycle and is great for swimming, walking or simply relaxing.
  
  On our property, we have a vegetable garden, a greenhouse, and a variety of ongoing tasks and projects related to gardening, animals, and life in the countryside.
  
  We intentionally host only a small number of guests at a time so that there is enough time for a relaxed exchange and everyone feels comfortable.

  Hallo und herzlich willkommen!
  
  Wir sind Clara und Chris und leben mit unseren beiden Kindern (15 und 17 Jahre), zwei Katzen, Hühnern und Ziegen in einem Dorf in Schleswig-Holstein in ruhiger Feldrandlage, nur etwa 6 km von der Ostsee entfernt.
  Direkt hinter unserem Grundstück befindet sich ein kleiner, ruhiger Fußballplatz der Gemeinde.
  
  Wir leben naturnah und verbringen viel Zeit draußen. Die Ostsee ist mit dem Fahrrad gut erreichbar und lädt zum Schwimmen, Spazierengehen oder Entspannen ein.
  
  Auf unserem Grundstück gibt es einen Gemüsegarten, ein Gewächshaus sowie viele verschiedene Aufgaben und Projekte rund um Garten, Tiere und das Leben auf dem Land.
  
  Wir möchten bewusst nur wenige Gäste gleichzeitig aufnehmen, damit genügend Zeit für einen entspannten Austausch bleibt und sich alle wohlfühlen können.
  
  Wenn du Natur, Tiere und Gartenarbeit magst, freuen wir uns darauf, von dir oder euch zu hören!

  For us, Workaway is above all about sharing everyday life. We are happy to meet people from different countries and learn about other ways of living.
  Our daily life is calm and uncomplicated, with space for conversations, but also for privacy and quiet time. We are really looking forward to sharing meals together and enjoying relaxed evenings when it feels right – spontaneously and without any fixed expectations.
  For us, the exchange develops naturally through everyday life.
  
  Für uns bedeutet Workaway vor allem Austausch im Alltag. Wir freuen uns darauf, Menschen aus verschiedenen Ländern kennenzulernen und Einblicke in andere Lebensweisen zu bekommen.
  Unser Alltag ist ruhig und unkompliziert, mit Raum für Gespräche, aber auch für Rückzug und eigene Zeit. Wir freuen uns sehr auf gemeinsame Mahlzeiten und entspannte Abende, wenn es sich ergibt – ganz spontan und ohne feste Erwartungen.
  Der Austausch entsteht bei uns ganz natürlich im täglichen Miteinander.

  Ajuda

  During the summer months, we appreciate help in the garden and greenhouse, as well as with our chickens and goats.
  Tasks include gardening activities such as planting, weeding, and harvesting, taking care of the animals, and various practical tasks around the house, garden, and property. Depending on the season and current needs, there may also be smaller creative or organizational projects outdoors.
  The tasks are varied and offer a good insight into our life in the countryside. Some activities are done together with us, while others can be carried out independently by arrangement.
  
  In den Sommermonaten freuen wir uns über Unterstützung im Garten und Gewächshaus sowie bei den Hühnern und Ziegen.
  Dazu gehören Gartenarbeiten wie pflanzen, jäten oder ernten, die Versorgung der Tiere sowie verschiedene praktische Aufgaben rund um Haus, Garten und Hof. Je nach Jahreszeit und Bedarf gibt es außerdem kleinere kreative oder organisatorische Projekte im Außenbereich.
  Die Tätigkeiten sind abwechslungsreich und bieten einen guten Einblick in unser Leben auf dem Land. Die Arbeiten werden teils gemeinsam mit uns, teils nach Absprache auch selbstständig erledigt.

  Deutsch ist unsere Muttersprache. Unser Englisch ist sehr begrenzt, daher ist es hilfreich, wenn Gäste einfache Deutschkenntnisse mitbringen oder bereit sind, ein wenig Deutsch zu lernen. Gleichzeitig nutzen wir Übersetzungshilfen im Alltag und sind offen für internationale Gäste. Wir freuen uns auch selbst darauf, durch den Austausch dazu zu lernen und unsere Sprachkenntnisse zu verbessern. German is our native language. Our English is very limited, so it is helpful if guests have basic German skills or are willing to learn a little German. At the same time, we use translation tools in our daily life and are open to welcoming international guests. We are also happy to learn ourselves through this exchange and improve our language skills.

  Acomodação

  Our guests stay in a cosy garden house surrounded by greenery with a view of the animals. There is a small kitchen and a bed (140 cm wide), suitable for 1–2 people who know each other well. Alternatively, a nice caravan is also available if needed. There is no private bathroom in the garden house. The bathroom is in our main house but has direct outside access and can be used at any time.
  We follow a vegetarian diet and would like meat not to be prepared or eaten inside our home. We kindly ask our guests to respect this. We can provide three vegetarian meals per day.
  
  Unsere Gäste wohnen in einem gemütlichen Gartenhaus mitten im Grünen mit Blick auf die Tiere. Dort gibt es eine kleine Küche sowie ein Bett (140 cm breit) für 1–2 Personen, die sich gut kennen. Alternativ steht bei Bedarf auch ein toller Wohnwagen zur Verfügung. Ein eigenes Bad gibt es im Gartenhaus nicht, das Badezimmer befindet sich im Wohnhaus, ist aber direkt von außen zugänglich und jederzeit nutzbar.
  Wir ernähren uns vegetarisch und möchten, dass bei uns im Haus kein Fleisch zubereitet oder gegessen wird. Wir bitten unsere Gäste, dies zu respektieren.

  We provide bicycles for our guests, and an e-bike can also be used by arrangement. This makes it easy to explore the surrounding area and nature.
  There is a bus stop directly in the village, but services are not very frequent. In the nearby village about 2.5 km away, there are better and more regular bus connections, which can be easily reached by bicycle or on foot.
  The city of Kiel is about 15 km away and can also be reached by public transport.
  In the area, there are also cultural events in summer that are easy to reach and offer a nice insight into the local culture.
  There are also beautiful lakes nearby.
  
  Wir stellen unseren Gästen Fahrräder zur Verfügung, und nach Absprache kann auch ein E-Bike genutzt werden. So lässt sich die Umgebung und die Natur gut erkunden.
  Es gibt eine Bushaltestelle direkt im Dorf, die Anbindung ist jedoch nicht sehr regelmäßig. Im etwa 2,5 km entfernten Nachbardorf gibt es bessere und regelmäßigere Busverbindungen, das ist gut mit dem Fahrrad oder zu Fuß erreichbar.
  Die Stadt Kiel liegt etwa 15 km entfernt und ist ebenfalls mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichbar.
  In der Umgebung gibt es im Sommer auch kulturelle Veranstaltungen, die gut erreichbar sind und einen schönen Einblick in die regionale Kultur geben.
  In der Nähe gibt es außerdem schöne Seen.
