  We are happy that we bought a former hotel in the Bernese Jura on 01 May 2020.
  It is located in "Les Prés d'Orvin" about 15 minutes from Biel. The village is French-speaking and is therefore situated right on the language border between German and French (most of us speak Swissgerman). We are transforming this building into a shared flat.
  
  Background
  
  For years, part of our group has been looking for a house that offers enough space for alternative forms of living as well as for culture and music. Now we have found the place.
  It is intended to be a long-term perspective for residential/cultural and music projects. The aim is to create affordable living space and use the rents for self-determined purposes.
  
  The building was in a very poor condition as it had been empty for a long time. Now we have renewed the roof and it no longer drips :-) The isolation is currently being renovated and many other small renovations and jobs are in the pipeline.
  
  We would be grateful if you come to help us! :-)
  
  It's worth stopping by, because the region is characterized by an incredible biodiversity and not only many plants but also birds and insects can be found. The natural paradise is beautiful and invites you to go hiking and climbing.
  
  We also regularly organize concerts and other cultural events on which you can take part.

  We and also you can learn how to organize in a self-determined community. Apart from that we have diverse backgrounds. One of us is a carpenter, One of us is a musician (drummer),one of us does many things as work and is a cleaning specialist and one of us is a botanist.

  Depending on you, you can help us with construction projects, cleaning, cooking, helping out with events and so on. We do a lot of renovationwork and we would be happy if somebody with construction skills could help us.

  Acomodação

  At the moment we can offer very simple accomodations. You can have a room, without heating. We live in a very simple way at the moment.
  We usually eat together and we prepare common food vegan and people who want to add something non-vegan can do this.

  in the area around the place you can go hiking, climbing, biking and to some botanics (in summer). in winter there is a VERY LITTLE ski resort and each year there is less snow. in Biel you have an amazing lake and a lot of culture. there are many concerts, expositions, little bars and so on.
  public transport is quit weak - only 5 times a day. but hitch hiking works very well ;-)

  We do not accept dogs at the moment. You can still ask, but normally we don't take people with dogs because we have a cat at our place which doesn't like most of the dogs.
