Family of Four (2 funny girls aged 10and 11) living in the countryside of Galway, 4 miles from a large town with lots to do. Our nearest hostelry is a 2 minute bike ride away! we are in a great position for traveling and discovering the beautiful West Coast of Ireland. We have lived here for 7 years and have established a polytunnel. We usually save our own turf and wood for heating our house.

Visitors to our home will be treated like members of our family. We live in a very historical parish and region which is also famous for its beauty. There is a lake for fishing 5 mins away. We also enjoy our food and love to eat new dishes. We do our very best to include our workawayers in all the activities we do as a family.

We would be happy to host a couple with DIY skills as we like to recycle and upcycle. If we host a couple, there will still be gardening, dogcare, childcare, household chores. So if you have DIY experience, we would be very interested in hosting you.
As my husband and I have busy schedules we do like to have our own private time together once the children are in bed.
Workawayers are very much treated as a member of the family and our children really enjoy these experiences. They are sporty and musical so there's usually quite a bit of activity going on!

Room for two people with use of own bathroom.
Our nearest town of Tuam has good bus links to the wonderful city of Galway, Mayo's county town of Castlebar, the picturesque town of Westport on the western sea board, and we are 20 mins drive away from the gateway to Connemara. We live in a small neighbourhood and are fortunate to have lovely friendly neighbours. Visitors to our house need to be independent and have use of bikes to get around. Town is 25 min bike ride, pub is 5 mins. We try to do 1 or 2 nice experiences with our visitors but also it is of benefit to you (and to us ) on your days off to go and explore.
As we are a busy family, we enjoy our personal time together at the weekends.
