Paul stayed with me for 2 weeks. During this time he collected turf from the bog, built a cabin helped with plastering, split wood and built a wood pile plus many other tasks I gave him. He approached all tasks with intelligence and care.
He is a very grounded young man who has a huge appetite for knowledge and understanding how the world works
… read more on a societal level. He is easy to be around, open to new experiences, fun, reliable. His English is excellent. In fact better than that he speaks English like it's his native tongue.
It was an absolute delight having Paul as a volunteer. He went above and beyond the call of duty. And such a lovely guy. You have made your mark. Thank you.

I really enjoyed my two weeks at Paul's place.
The work was just the right amount, varied and mostly good fun (chopping wood, collecting turf, some plastering, painting and screwing and so forth). I feel like I improved some skills around DIY and definetively got inspired by Paul's attitude towards learning and getting things done.

… read more one-of-a-kind guy with a colourful life, lots of talents and stories to tell. We spend some evenings making music and singing, watching a movie, talking about various topics and with other memorable activities. He also took me to some pubs, and beautiful places close to Westport. Genereally he was very flexible and I felt like I could always adress possible wishes.
The caravan was clean and a good place to wake up in the morning... Plus the surroundings are truely beautiful and idyllic. He lend me his bicycle so I could go on some rides what was great. Furthermore he offered to drop me off at some places when it was easier.
Lovely dogs, good meals, friendly and warm atmosphere... I could go on^^- I can really recomend this place 5/5.

Hosting someone like Armel is what I love about the whole workaway.info experience. He was easy going, co-operative, friendly and came with his own transport.
We clicked straight away...often talking into the early hours about every subject imaginable. Like myself he is well travelled and interested in the human condition. We talked phylosophy,

Armel is trustworthy honest and hard working. He works in a meticulous and methodical way. He successfully prepared and plastered the small spare room in the cottage. He also bagged up the turf in the bog and brought it home to the storage shed for next winter.
An all round great guy to have as a volunteer. Best of luck Armel on your adventures ..I'm so glad you visited me and to have been a small part of your exciting unfolding story.

I was hosted in a big private caravan with all the comfort you can need and given delicious vegeterian food he prepares with love.

He is an herborist, musicien and a painter that deeply interess himself to many various subjects. He even made me sing, which is a feat. He also took me out to have a look at the historical and sacred places in the surroundings and then in a pub.
The work was various enough and interesting. Bringing the turf in for the fireplace, plasterboarding and plastering a room he wishes to develop. He's also starting a new wooden buiding in the garden, many things to do.
He's considering about the idea of making his place a shamanic retreat, which would be awesome. I really hope he could finalize this project.

Its difficult to find the words to sum up these two amazing humans. If you're lucky enough to have them as your volunteers you are indeed fortunate and will not be disappointed. They both have great skills to bring to the experience and work together as great team or just as well individually. They are keen to learn and soak up the whole experience. They are sociable and enjoy deep philosophical conversation's well articulated in English. If your open to Spanish Cuisine then buckle up as you will get the best traditional dishes you could wish for. So much has been achieved in the nearly 4 weeks they stayed with me. These two are wise beyond their years and will go on to achieve great thing both together and in the world. I wish them both the best of luck for their on going adventure.Fotos

My time with Paul, Sky and puppy Toby was fantastic. The Cottage is in a beautiful location in a rural area. Lot of things to explore. Paul is a great host. A good cook and a humorous person. We had good conversations and I learned a lot. There is plenty of work to do but it was always time for fun. The two dog's are gorgeous.
