… read more the nature and mountains, winds, clouds and sunny days. The house it self is a piece of art and with all the nature it becomes a magical place. Luc and Katia have magical minds and hands, they are true artists and wonderful people.

A little late with this feedback - but I had a really great time with Katia and Luc back in June for 8 days. They are both really interesting people. The house and garden is beautiful and there's a big vegetable garden that was the base of great meals everyday. I met so many kind and inspiring people there. Other work awayers as well as friends of

So many great memories of working in the garden together, tai chi in the morning, bike trips to the village and watching everyone play music in the evening. I spend two AMAZING weeks in Poet-Laval, I felt really connected in this workaway, not just by the incredibly nature but also because the whole group we created seemed to be perfect. … read more was amazing, I don't think there is a better place where I could be during the pandemic, I learned too many things with them, working in the garden and studying french with Katia, doing carpentry, practicing Tai Chi and understanding the human design with Luc, it's knowledge for all my life.
We also share good time during the meal, doesn't matter if it was a brunch, a lunch or dinner, we always had something new to try and of course good wine and cheese.
I'm so glad to have spent this time with them, highly recommend this to anybody who wants to have a nice experience in France.

The experience with Luc and Katia has been wonderful and especially unique. It all started at the same time as the pandemic: we found ourselves in a difficult situation in France, with no way to return to our country, and they did not hesitate to welcome us with open arms. What started as an improvised Workaway ended in an almost familiar
… read more relationship with unrepeatable moments and conversations. In the midst of chaos and confusion, finding people who are willing to share without asking is the best of lucks.
During our two months in this amazing house, we had time to help Luc and Katia with many tasks. Among them we helped them fix, paint and build furniture, we learned how to take care of the land and make our own compost. Our culminating work of confinement was the construction of a fence to expand the garden. Thanks to this activities we learned how to use various tools and we also learned construction and agricultural techniques.
Luc is a great Taichi teacher and Katia helped us a lot with her French classes (thanks to her Leyre is now able to maintain conversations in French !!). We also had a series of very intense conversations with Luc, which helped us to get to know us better both as a couple and as individuals.
Therefore, we cannot be more grateful to have passed such a quarantine, with our weekly international dinners or our "Fiesta de la Paella". Luc and Katia are amazing, inclusive and very interesting people, people from whom you can learn many things.
For all this, although our departure is very sad for all the close ties, we know that we have true friends in Le Poët Laval and that we will see each other again.
