I stayed 2 weeks with Nick and Rita on their organic farm, and it was just amazing! I helped the most with picking and packing cucumbers and apricots. All the tasks were simple and easy to make. I was able to meet some of their family and friends, who were also really friendly. Straight away from my arrival, I felt like a part of their family. I
… read more lived in their barn, where I had my own bedroom, TV room, and bathroom and even the kitchen. Which I never used, because we ate all meals together in the main house. I promise you that you will never be hungry when you stay with them; Rita is an amazing cook! You will love their dogs, Otto and Nala, because they are so cute.
It was my first experience with Workaway, and I couldn't imagine a better host. I highly recommend staying with Nick, Rita, Otto, and Nala. ☺️

Maili, stayed with us for 3 weeks and was a highly motivated young lady. Her communication,skills and enthusiasm was fantastic. We would highly recommend Maili for any form of employment as she would be an asset to any prospective employer!!

We couldn’t have asked for better hosts than Nick and Rita! We felt welcomed to their lovely home right away.
We stayed for three weeks and lived in our own house (super cosy stone barn). We helped with the hothouses and wooding and it was nothing hard, we found the work very enjoyable. Our days started at 8am and ended by lunch time. Oh and not

Rita and Nick are both wonderful people with a great sense of humor. We had great chats and laughs and delicous dinners! We will also miss the pugdog Nala and big boy Otto :)

We both had such a wonderful and comfortable stay at Nick and Rita's. Their property is in a truly stunning location, overlooking the Murray River, and I think every single night we got to enjoy sunsets that were out of this world (think oranges, pinks and purples all in one!) … read more ranging from weeding, pruning, pulling up cucumber plants, helping Rita in the kitchen, and collecting firewood! Speaking of Rita in the kitchen - she makes the best cakes EVER! If your carrot cake fans like us, prepare to be blown away! Nick taught us lots about the local area and about life year-round on the property, and it was honestly a pleasure to be able to help them out on their little slice of paradise for two weeks. Could have easily stayed longer. Lots of laughs were had and they made our stay in the Riverlands extremely special so thank you for that. We had Leve and Fenna, stay with us for 8 days and it was a great experience! They were a delight to host, very friendly and very efficient workers. They were happy to put their hands to all farming tasks asked of them. Rita and I can’t recommend them more highly to other Work away hosts as we are sure it would be a good experience.

We stayed with Rita and Nick for 8 days and it was absolutely perfect! They gave us a really warm welcome straight away. They own a lovely little farm in a beautiful serenity right next to the Murray River.

Nick and Rita are so lovely and always nice and helpful with everything. They shared some nice stories with us and told us about their home and region.
We had dinner together every day (Ritas cooking skills are awesome :D) and could prepare our own breakfast and lunch :) The accommodation is very comfortable, we basically had our own house with bedroom, bathroom, tv room and excellent internet access (better than in many cities).
Otto and Narla (their two dogs) are crazy and funny, we loved them a lot!
