  I live and cruise on a 65 foot timber Schooner. She was built in New Hampshire USA Started construction in 1980 Launched in 1985 ,I move on board that day and happy to say I'm still here and sailing.
  i had 4 teen age children at the time so there was plenty of crew available .
  Now they are busy with their own families, all in the US.I have sailed this Schooner well over 100,000 miles ,usually with one or two crew.
  Now I am in need of one crew ,I'll be happy to teach all that is needed.

  New Zealand is a very beautiful ,uncrowded and interesting country .I have gained a lot of experience in my life and travels ,I am looking to passing along some of this to keen others.
  
  There is always something to do ,When in harbor there is hiking ,swimming and great fishing.
  
  The rural coastal areas where we go have a large and active Maori population. Their life style and world view is different than most western cultures. It is always interesting and educational to talk with them.

  All those things in everyday life ...cooking ,cleaning keeping things in good order as well as the things required of a sailor There is always the maintenance of the ship as it is a machine and must be cared for if she is to look after her crew...Rope work ,sewing, painting,mechanical repairs of all sorts
  I'm looking for somweone that can be available formore than amonth,

  Life on a boat is necessarily not too roomy ,There is not a lot of privacy...Crew will have their bunk and a place to store a modest amount of gear, The goal is to travel ,see things and to learn.Most likely there will be just one crew ,Friends will come aboard occasionally for a few days.
  This Schooner is dry and airy , Heated in cool weather and comfortable in all seasons
