I spent 8 days with Mariucca and Luigi and I had quiet a funny time with them, because they didn't know before, that I speak none Italian and I didn't know that they only speak very little English.... so our conversation was a real challenge and we had to communicate mostly with Google translator 😅

… read more are so cute and caring and made me feel very comfortable. I could get to know the sicilian way of life, therefore I didn't have to understand Italian :) Even though I tried to learn some Italian words, and Mariucca tried really hard to practice her English and we had always something to laugh about.
I enjoyed every meal with them, always with some great sicilian wine, they bought Arancini for me (typical sicilian food) and showed me some nice places like Ortigia and Noto. And I had the chance to meet their family and played some funny basketball games with their granddaughter.
I really can recommend staying with Mariucca and Luigi, they are wonderful people! But you should speak at least a little Italian, that would make things a lot easier :D.
Thank you very much for this great time and I'm so thankful I had the chance to meet you! I will visit you again, when I learned Italian :)

Words can't express how humbled and grateful I am by the kindness and generosity of Luigi and Mariuccia! I stayed for 3 weeks and felt like part of the family from day one. … read more seaside villa. I really enjoyed snorkeling in the Mediterranean Sea after the chores were done. Mariuccia makes healthy delicious meals. I really enjoyed our nightly walks and drinking wine with Luigi! I loved spending time with their high spirited granddaughter Michela and meeting the rest of the family too. Everyone is so lovely! You are lucky if you get to stay here!! Thank you so much Mariuccia and Luigi for the best experience of my life! I sure hope to come back and visit!! Ma première expérience chez Luigi et Marie a été positive. Ce sont des hôtes très gentils, accueillants, généreux et ils vous mettent à l’aise dès le premier jour. … read more bien amusée avec les 12 poules et leurs 2 chats Grey et Lady qui me manquent. Le travail consistait à de petits travaux dans la maison, rien de compliqué, ainsi qu'à enseigner le français. Je suis très reconnaissante de cette fantastique expérience qui a duré 2 semaines et si la vie me le permets je n’hésiterais pas à y retourner. … read more work was always relaxed and the schedule flexible. They have a garden with fruits and vegetables, so most of our meals were freshly prepared from garden to table, which we loved! The room is spacious, clean and really comfortable with a private bathroom and separate entrance from the house, so we had a lot of privacy.
