From mid february : I'm looking for someone that will stay at least 2 months and focus on goats caring + wood work + gardening
Hi everybody!
WHO AM I
I'm Florence and I live in Broissia, a small village in Jura Region with about 50 inhabitants. I live with my son and 15 chickens, 8 goats, 2 dogs, and a donkey.
After 4 years work to renovate the house, the project for 2025 is to increase our self sufficiency with a garden, and develop camping and workshops activities. The goats aren't pregnant and I'm on a long term lactation test so I cannot say yet if there will be milk next spring.
I was travelling around Europe and volunteering in many projects, eco-farms, wwoofing, collective projects, education, etc. I also led youth exchanges, training, framed in erasmus +, so im quite used and passioned by intercultural exchange, human relations.
I choose this lifestyle to live in the nature, eat my own cheese, build my home and host people from the world. I'm someone really active and quite extraverted.
WHO AM I LOOKING FOR
I need support with the goats + building the house + gardening : I look for TRUSTFUL, AUTONOMOUS, HARD WORKING and EXPERIENCED Workawayers that would be eager to stay at least 2 month.
I look for people eager to learn and discover from my lifestyle, that is based on environmental awareness and degrowth. I enjoy people that has initiatives, that agree to work by its own as well than in a group. I greatly enjoy people with sense of humor.
I wish to share my home with people who agree to contribute AS WELL and BESIDES WORKING HOURS by cooking, cleanup, getting the dry toilet bucket out, ... Its VERY important to me to feel that the everyday life missions are taken in charge by everybody. Here we live as a group and as a team so please avoid me if you are a post teenage lazy person, also I don't get along with slow motion persons.
I had many wonderful experiences with workawayers but also few negative ones due to lack of maturity and idealistic image of the rural life, so please detailed your application and be aware the life here is physical, intense, and doesn't rely on petting goats and looking at the sky (or your phone) .
A typical day :
8 milking + lead goats to the field
9 to 10 breakfast
10 to 12, gardening or building
PM various works such as house building, gardening...
18 to 19pm : goats care
Ill will ask you to help 20 hours over a week + shared daily tasks (cooking/cleanup).
We work everyday of the week (animals are not going on weekend vacations) but we organise so everybody can have days off.Tipos de ajuda e oportunidades de aprendizado
