Need for goat care from February!
Hi everybody!
(en français juste en dessous !!! )
We live in Broissia, a small village in Jura Region with about 50 inhabitants. We are 2 adults, Emile & Florence, with a child of 6 years old called Sasha. Moreover we are growing 9 chickens, 10 goats, 2 dogs, and a donkey.
We came to Broissia 3 years ago when we bought an old house that needs to be fully renovated. Our project is to reach self sufficiency, and contribute to social and cultural life in our rural area.
Both of us where travelling around Europe and volunteering in many projects, eco-farms, wwoofing, collective projects, education, etc. We also led youth exchanges, training, framed in erasmus +, so we are quite used and passioned by intercultural exchange.
We chose this lifestyle to enjoy living in the nature, create our own food, our home and host people from the world.
We need support with the goats + building the house + gardening : We look for trustful Workawayers that would be eager to stay at least 2 to 6 months from February .
We look for people eager to gain autonomy and learn about self sufficiency. We enjoy people that has initiatives, autonomy, that agree to work by its own as well than in a group. We greatly enjoy people with sense of humour!
We wish to share our home with people who agree to contribute as well by cooking, cleanup, getting the dry toilet bucket out, ... Its very important to us to feel that the everyday life missions are taken in charge by everybody in order to feel in equality.
A typical day of ours :
8 to 9h30 milking + lead goats to the field
9h30 to 10 breakfast
10 to 12, gardening or building
PM various works such as house building, gardening...
18 to 19pm : goats milking..
We will ask you to help 4 to 5 hours over a day. We are looking for someone that will stay at least 2 months and focus on goats caring while I'm at work (I work as school assistant 3 days per week). So you need to be confortable to work with animals by your own.
