  Greetings Traveler!
  
  We are a small grocery store, gas station and motel in the remote northern community of Teslin. In the heart of southern Yukon we provide all essential community needs from fresh produce to Husqvarna chain saws. We offer more than just employment. Being located next to Teslin lake allows everybody to get the full northern experience. Camp on the beach where ever you want? Explore numerous wild trails ? If you like the great outdoors you wont find a better place to spend your time!
  
  Working here entails basic cashier work, cleaning duties, inventory control as well as friendly customer service. We offer an all inclusive deal with free housing (your own private room, with shared kitchen and bathrooms), free WIFI, free on site laundry. Everything is provided for.
  
  We offer $18,00 / hour and a variety of in store benefits such as discounts on groceries and fuel purchases!

  Teslin is home to the Teslin Tlingit First Nation. We work closely with their citizens allowing us to learn their culture and native language as well as traditions that date back hundreds of years. Anyone employed with us will have the opportunity to personally meet current chief and former regional chief Eric Morris of Teslin Tlingit Council as he is part owner of our business. Eric is always happy to teach people the ways of the first people. He is one of the most influential and competent leaders and very well known throughout the Yukon Territory.

  We have a two story apartment available for housing right on our property behind our motel. With 3 bedrooms every Workawayer will have access to their own private bedroom. We ask everyone to share the large kitchen area as well as the two bathrooms. High speed fiberoptics WIFI, water, power and on-site laundry are all available for free.
  Additionally every Workawayer will receive a 10% discount on all store purchases, a heavy discount on fuel as well as a free soft ice cream cone per day :)

  For your time off we recommend exploring Teslins newly marked and mapped hiking trails, going fishing on our massive lake (licenses sold in store), learning about Tlingit culture at the Heritage center or the George Johnston Museum.
  There is also a small gym available for use (ask for a gym pass at the municipal office,$30/month)
  You can learn how to skate at our Hockey Rink (winter time only, skate rentals available)
  Teslin has the luxury of having access to amazing recreation programs. Keep an eye out for multi day canoe trips, backpack and moccasin sewing workshops and many many more. Most of these workshops are available for free.
