Where should we start? We want to thank Debbie and Jim from the bottom of our hearts for this amazing stay over Christmas time and making this feel like home.
You both are absolutely lovely, funny and heartful people.
Our tasks included animal chores in the mornings and evenings, helping out on the property (cover mud with mulch or shovel snow
… read more with the Kubota which was super fun.) we loved being surrounded by all the animals and already miss them, especially the dogs and the puppies.
It was great to learn more things about farming from them, but also the game evenings and chats were so much fun and interesting. Even though we could only stay 8 days at the end, we enjoyed it all the time.
Thanks for having us and hopefully we see each other again.

Unfortunately I could only stay 2,5 weeks with Debbie and Jim, but in that time we had a lot of fun! The work was not too much, we even managed to do the 3 days decorating pretty well. Deb and Jim really tried to involve me in their life and invited me to several christmas partys they attended, took me out for dinners and a beer at the pub. I had
… read more my own little suite in the basement so there was enough space for privacy and me-time whenever I wanted but we also spent some nights together watching movies. Lara fit in with our home very well! She was an excellent helper and took everything in stride, including 3 days solid of decorating our house for Christmas! We would host her again in a heartbeat! He knowledge of German sign language and some American sign language came in handy as we have Deaf friends who pop in from time to time and it was
… read more great that she could communicate with them directly which left me free to do other tasks. Very flexible - good boundaries and good sense of when to give us some privacy and space as well as when to participate in the household activities! 5 stars for sure!

Jenn and Jim were dear host, they gave us a lot of information about the area and prepare every day a dinner. We were greeted warmly every morning by them three little dogs and outside of the sheep, horses, dogs, chickens, the nice black cat, the bunny,guinea pig and the donkeys =) We fed the animals every morning and evening and did various work.

Lovely couple - very willing and worked well. Some difficulty communicating but we made it work. Sorry they had to leave so soon but understand that skiing and snowboarding are their passions and not much of that in our area.
