  We are Nicolas and Coralie, and we have been living for three years in a small farmhouse that was abandoned for 28 years and was close to ruin. We are trying our best to revive it!
  After taking a volunteer break in May, it's time to organize our schedule for this summer.
  
  Requested period: June to mid-August
  
  MUST BE PRESENT for at least two weeks or more.
  
  
  Beginner volunteering accepted.
  Animal lovers required (dogs, sheep, goats) and willing to provide care if needed.
  Addiction-free, no smokers on site.
  Comfortable with nature; sleeping arrangements are in a caravan.
  A person ready to experience something different from their daily routine (pace of life, diet, limited phone use).
  We need someone in good physical condition to use a brush cutter, carry pieces of wood, and carry beehives.
  
  Number of volunteers accepted at a time: between 2 and 3.
  
  **** IN JUNE *****:
  Cora will mainly guide you in taking care of the farm.
  With Cora, you will work from 5 p.m. on weekdays, Wednesdays, and weekends.
  You can come with her to work at her school if you wish.
  
  Tasks to be performed:
  
  TAKE CARE OF THE 3 SHEEP AND 2 GOATS:
  - Check on them every day to make sure they are well.
  - Feed them hay if necessary.
  - Change their water twice a week.
  - Cuddle them because they love cuddling.
  
  TAKE CARE OF THE 2 SHEPHERD DOGS:
  - Feed them morning and evening. - Take them out for at least two 30-minute walks per day.
  - Ensure they have fresh water every day.
  - Regular cuddles, playtime, and brushing.
  
  TAKE CARE OF THE PARKS:
  - Collect dead wood that has fallen naturally.
  - Mow (with a lawnmower or brush cutter) if necessary in areas that are difficult to access or fragile for animals.
  - Weed the garden and orchard.
  
  GARDEN/ORCHARD:
  - Pick strawberries and raspberries.
  - Remove aphids from fruit trees.
  
  Living together obviously includes:
  - Helping with cooking for meals (shared).
  - Helping with housework and maintaining the outhouses.
  
  **** IN JULY and AUGUST *****:
  
  Cora is going to Asia for six weeks, from July 7 to August 16.
  You will be alone with Nico. Your main mission will be to care for the animals.
  Nico, being an amateur beekeeper, will need help in his apiary to extract honey and care for the bees.
  
  Clearing brush, chopping wood, storing it, weeding a garden, removing manure, and emptying outhouses is repetitive and boring. There are so many repetitive tasks on a farm. We spend a lot of our time doing these kinds of tasks.
  There are, of course, many good times for relaxation, exercise, and sharing. Whatever happens, the reality of everyday life can be surprisingly difficult when you're not used to working with your hands. If you feel ready to take on the challenge and experience this, don't hesitate to ask any questions!

  Nous sommes Nicolas et Coralie, et nous vivons depuis 3 ans dans une petite ferme abandonnée pendant 28 ans, proche de la ruine. Nous essayons de la faire revivre de tout notre cœur !
  Après avoir fait une pause en mai de volontaires, il est temps d'organiser le planning pour cet été.
  
  Période recherchée : JUIN à mi-AOÛT
  
  OBLIGATION D'ETRE PRESENT SUR 2 SEMAINES au minimum ou plus.
  
  Profil recherché :
  Débutant en volontariat accepté.
  Personne aimant les animaux obligatoirement (chiens, brebis, chèvres) prête à effectuer des soins si besoin.
  Personne libre de toute addiction, pas de fumeur sur le lieu.
  Personne à l'aise avec la nature, le couchage s'effectue dans une caravane.
  Personne prête à vivre une expérience différente de son quotidien (rythme de vie, alimentation, téléphone en usage limité).
  Besoin de quelqu'un en bonne condition physique pour passer la débrousailleuse, porter des morceaux de bois et porter des ruches.
  
  Nombre de volontaires accueillis en même temps : entre 2 et 3.
  
  **** EN JUIN ***** :
  Cora vous guidera principalement pour vous occuper de la ferme.
  Avec Cora vous travaillerez à partir de 17h en semaine le mercredi et les week-ends.
  Vous pourrez venir avec elle travailler dans son école si vous le souhaitez.
  
  Tâches à accomplir :
  
  S'OCCUPER DES 3 BREBIS ET 2 CHEVRES :
  - vérifier tous les jours qu'elles aillent bien.
  - les nourrir au foin si nécessaire.
  - changer l'eau 2 fois par semaine.
  - leur faire des câlins car elles adorent cela.
  
  S'OCCUPER DES 2 CHIENNES BERGER :
  - les nourrir matin et soir.
  - les sortir pour 2 balades par jour minimum de 30 min.
  - veiller à ce qu'elles aient de l'eau fraiche tous les jours.
  - câlins, jeux et brossage régulier.
  
  S'OCCUPER DES PARCS :
  - ramasser le bois mort tombé naturellement.
  - Tondre (avec tondeuse tractée ou débroussailleuse) si besoin les zones difficiles d'accès et ou fragiles pour les animaux.
  - désherber le jardin, le verger.
  
  JARDIN / VERGER :
  - Ramasser les fraises, framboises.
  - Enlever les pucerons sur les arbres fruitiers.
  
  La vie ensemble inclue évidement :
  - Participation à la cuisine pour les repas (partagés).
  - Participation au ménage et entretien des toilette sèches.
  
  
  **** EN JULLET et AOÛT ***** :
  
  Cora part en Asie 6 semaines, du 7 juillet au 16 août.
  Vous serez seuls avec Nico.
  Vous aurez comme mission principale de vous occuper des animaux.
  Nico étant apiculteur amateur, aura besoin d'aide à son rucher pour extraire le miel, et s'occuper des abeilles.
  
  Débroussailler, couper du bois, le ranger, désherber un jardin, sortir le fumier, vider les toilette sèches est répétitif et ennuyeux. Il y a énormément de tâches ingrates et répétitives dans une ferme. Nous passons beaucoup de notre temps à réaliser ce genre de tâches.
  Il y a bien évidement de nombreux et bon moments de détente, de sport, er de partages. quoi qu'il arrive, la réalité du quotidien peut surprendre par sa difficulté lorsque l'on a pas l'habitude de travailler de ses mains. Si vous vous sentez prêt à relever le défi et vivre cette expérience, n'hésitez pas à poser vos questions !

  Nicolas is a photovoltaic panel installer; a former mechanical engineer, he'll surprise you with all his DIY skills. An exceptionally efficient handyman!
  
  Coralie is a school teacher. Inspiring and creative, her illustrations and instructions will guide you in your first steps on the farm, and you may even be lucky enough to take part in her creative workshops (soap-making, laundry, all kinds of vegetable/fruit processing and wild harvesting)! She'll win you over with her organization and positive management. If you'd like to take your stay even further, she's also a Kundalini yoga teacher, and will be delighted to take you on a journey into yourself by introducing you to this discipline. She is passionate about India, its culture and ayurveda, and draws much of her inspiration from them in her cooking.
  
  You'll learn how to be resourceful! Here, you have to use your imagination to manage the challenges of everyday life. We speak French, and get by in English and Spanish. You can learn about gardening, vegetable and fruit processing, electricity, carpentry, plumbing, pruning, climbing, caving, paragliding, French and Indian cuisine, circus and kundalini yoga.

  Nicolas est installateur de panneaux photovoltaïques ; ancien ingénieur en mécanique, il sera vous surprendre par toutes ses compétences en ce qui concerne le bricolage. Un homme à tout faire d'une efficacité hors norme !!
  
  Coralie est professeur des écoles. Inspirante et créative, ses illustrations et mode d'emploi vous guiderons dans vos premiers pas à la ferme et vous aurez peut être la chance de participer à ses ateliers créatifs (confection de savons, lessive, transformations en tout genre des légumes/fruits et cueillette sauvage) ! Elle saura vous séduire par son organisation et son management positif. Si vous souhaitez approfondir votre séjour, elle est aussi professeur de Kundalini yoga et se fera un plaisir de vous emmener voyager en vous-même en vous initiant à cette discipline. Elle est passionnée par l'Inde, sa culture, l'ayurvéda et s'en inspire beaucoup pour cuisiner.
  
  Vous pourrez apprendre la 'débrouille' ! Ici il faut faire preuve d'imagination pour arriver à gérer tout les défis du quotidien. Vous pourrez apprendre le jardin, la transformation des légumes et fruits, l'électricité, la charpente, la plomberie, l'élagage, l'escalade, la spéléo, la parapente, la cuisine française et indienne, un peu de cirque, le yoga kundalini.

  Il y a besoin d'aide sur plein de domaines : jardinage, arrosage, nourrir et soigner les animaux, réparer la maison, faire des clôtures, couper du bois, débroussailler, ramasser les noix châtaignes - fruits etc ... faire des confitures, coulis de tomates etc..., décorer la maison et apporter vos idées pour faire vivre le lieux !

  Acomodação

  We have 2 caravans available for volunteers.
  There is also the possibility to pitch your tent.
  If you have a van, you are welcome to use it.
  
  The house is very old and the comfort is relative, it is a farmhouse atmosphere!
  WE ONLY HAVE DRY TOILETT !
  You should not expect a star hotel!
  The place is very quiet and you can meditate by the stream and take a nap in the grass when it is too hot to work.
  
  We share our small house with the volunteers and live in a shared house.
  There is a common kitchen for all of us.
  You will of course have access to the bathroom and the outhouse.
  
  Nous avons 2 caravanes à disposition pour les volontaires.
  Il y a également possibilité de planter votre tente.
  Si vous avez un van aménagé, vous êtes les bienvenus également.
  
  La maison est très vieille et le confort est relatif, c'est ambiance ferme ! Il ne faut pas s'attendre à un hôtel étoilé !
  Le lieu est très tranquille et vous pourrez méditer au bord du ruisseau et faire la sieste dans l'herbe quand il fait trop chaud pour travailler.
  
  Nous partageons notre petite maison avec les volontaires et vivons en mode colocation.
  Il y a une cuisine commune pour nous tous.
  Vous aurez évidement accès à la salle de bain et au toilette sèche.

  Ici c'est le paradis, il y a la rivière pas loin avec de super spot pour se baigner, sauter nager etc... Falaises d'escalades, grottes et gouffres à visite, des villages magnifique, routes vertigineuses, forets à champignons Bref, de quoi s'amuser !
