  We are a family of 5, living in the beautiful region of Costa Brava. We are 5km from the nearest beach, and situated in the foothills of the Gavarres. All around is green forest, and you can see the sea from the end of the road!
  You can do any sport here - hiking, cycling, running, paddle boarding, surfing...and we have all the equipment you can borrow anytime.
  We have 3 wonderful children aged 8, 5 and 3. My husband works abroad, which is why we require some help.
  We have a large swimming pool and the house was renovated 2-years ago so it is very open and light with lots of glass windows to enjoy the view.
  If you were to stay here you would have your own apartment located beside the swimming pool, so you have your own privacy and space.
  We are an English family but I also speak Spanish. The children are fluent in English, Spanish and Catalan.

  You will be part of the family! We like to go on walks. We have bikes for everyone, paddleboards, swimming pool and we can tell you about medieval towns in the are or anywhere else you are interested in. We speak 2 languages and we are happy to share and teach our languages of English and Spanish (the children also speak Catalan).
  We'd love to have someone be part of the family, enjoy the area and what it has to offer and also learn about your culture and language.
  Our latest workaways stayed for 2-months and felt like family. We'd love to welcome you into our home and help you uncover more of this beautiful part of the world.
  If you are a digital nomad or working, then we also have strong wifi and your own personal space to work from. I also work from home 100% of the time so the network connection is strong!

  Hello,
  We are looking for support around the house - mainly helping me keep on top of it all!
  I have 3 children, a full time job and a side job! My husband works abroad so he returns maybe once a month for a couple of days so I am on my own 90% of the time.
  
  I'd love some support cleaning around the house and helping out how to grow a veggie garden! (I'm a complete novice, but i'm determined to do it so we can grow our own organic veg) If you have any experience in that great, otherwise, come and help me work it out and have some fun along the way!
  
  We recommend you have your own vehicle or at least be willing to use a bike to get to the local store/bus stops (we have a bike you can use). We live in an urbanisation and most things are within easy reach. We'll always try and provide you with a lift but we do have 3 children school, after school clubs and a full time job, so the reality is it's not always possible.
  
  Nearest bus stop = 3 km
  Nearest supermarket = 3.6 km
  Nearest organic farm = 4.5km
  Nearest beach = 5.4 km
  Nearest pharmacy = 3 km
  Nearest town for shops/bars/restaurants = 3km
  
  We will always invite you to join us at events we go to, and I'll share what is going on locally in case you're interested. For example our recent Workaways went to a local free music festival with circa 5,000 people, visited beaches only locals know about, went on hill top walks and even got to visit medieval towns and lakes. We want you to experience the amazing culture and natural environment here and to fully immerse into a Spanish lifestyle. We can tell you the best places to visit, eat and stay in if you want to travel around.
  
  I work in marketing but by previous career was in journalism so if you want any support in copywriting, marketing or video editing I'm happy to share my knowledge with you.

  Acomodação

  We have a private, separate apartment located beside the swimming pool. It has a double bed and en suite. There is a barbecue and seating area you can use next to it. You will have your own TV and mini fridge. The room has air conditioning and a desk and an open wardrobe.

  Self serve your own breakfast. Mornings are my busiest so I will be focused on getting my 3 kids out the door and to school on time!

  Provided by the family. You're also invited to help share the cooking.

  At the weekend we will invite you to eat with us, but we have found most workawayers like to travel and not be tied to meal times with the family. So we just leave the weekends to be entirely flexible.
  
  We will provide you your own sheets, towels, cutlery and utensils for your apartment.

  The area here is beautiful. Ideally come with a car, as we live 5km from the nearest beach. But you can easily cycle and when I can, I can always drop you to the town where you can catch a bus to anywhere. At the weekends we're usually doing activities and we're always happy to include you, if you want to join.
  Strict no smoking or drugs anywhere on the premises. No parties and please don't bring anyone back to the house. We have 3 young children and their safety is paramount.
  We have mountains and sea so there is abundance of places to visit and local transport is very easy. Girona is only 30-minutes away and Barcelona is only 30mins on the high speed rail from Girona.
  There is so much to do and see around here - let me know what you like doing - visiting lakes, historic towns, surfing, water sports, climbing, hiking, markets etc. It's all here! Were also 1.5hrs away from the nearest ski slopes in winter and its very common that the locals go skiing for the day at the weekend so if you're here in that season you can always take advantage of skiing (even when we're based 5km from the beach!) It's a fantastic place to visit.
