Descrição
Hello friends!
Our vision the last 5 years has been to build our own little hobby farm here on Vancouver Island. What started as a dream, it has grown into an orchard, raised garden beds, a chicken coop, and a small flower farm, each piece adding to a space we hope will feel a little bit magical.
We’re always dreaming up the next project (and usually a few steps ahead of ourselves!), so there’s never a shortage of meaningful work to be done. Tasks can range from staining and woodworking to weeding, landscaping, and helping shape the land as it continues to grow.
Our lives are full and busy, so we’re best suited for independent, self-motivated people who are comfortable taking initiative and working on their own. Having your own vehicle is strongly preferred, as it allows for flexibility and ease during your stay.
If you love being outdoors, enjoy working with your hands, and want to be part of creating something special, we’d love to welcome you here.

Oportunidades de intercâmbio cultural e aprendizado
We are always learning ourselves as we embark on this new journey of creating a mini hobby farm. From the orchard to flower farming and everything in between,
there is no shortage of learning here.
Ajuda
A lot of the help will entail landscaping, woodworking, building greenhouses, wood structures, staining and whatever else comes up as we go. We have a few fences that need tending to also. It would be ideal if you knew how to use basic wood working tools such as a saw, etc. but not necessary. We're just stoked to have someone help us and to meet new people.

Acomodação
Beautiful tiny house on the property with one queen bed in the loft and single bed/couch below. Our tiny house is your own self contained until that is nestled in with the trees and gardens!

Algo mais...
Nanaimo is full of rivers, lakes, hikes and the great outdoors. There is lots to see and do and there are many towns a short distance away that you can checkout. Having a vehicle is a must as we are in the country and there is no bus route here. Meals are not provided during your stay (help hours is reduced to 15 hours a week to reflect this) The tiny house has a kitchen for all your kitchen needs.
