Hello Workawayer!
We are looking for a person with good values and dedicated English-speaking volunteers from around the world.
Who enjoys working with children and aspire to help them improve their English in our school.
This experience offers an opportunity for those who are in training teaching , certificated teachers or have a positive acttitude.
The students ages are seperated in diferent levels .
We prefer long term volunteerts.
About the area. hiking in the mountains in your free time. We have well maintainted paths and beautiful viewpoints. Ocotepeque is at the border of El Salvador and Guatemala, so it's easy to continue your travels from here. Whilst Ocotepeque is a small town, it has everything you will need here: shops, fresh fruits and vegetables ,parks, gym, movie theatre, restaurants,coffee places and delicious street food! You can enjoy going to the gym too.

Staying in Ocotepeque is an opportunity to experience a rural Honduran town with fruits and vegetables markets everyday . There are many opportunities to talk to locals and practice spanish with us. Ocotepeque is a safe place where everyone knows everyone!

The program its inspired in Waldorf ,Reggio Emilia and Montessori Education.
We will need someone to help out with art,music,story time,yoga,dance.
In the English program the students have their own books and the teacher will have a guide to follow the lesson and unit. You can use Youtube videos and teach them about yourself and what you’re interested in. Try to be a little creative to offer interesting classes, art projects,dialogue,conversations,oratory,speech .
Things to do:
• Lesson preparation , make sure the classroom is clean before you teach.

Saturday – Sunday NO CLASS YOU WILL HAVE FREE WEEKEND.
. Travel out of Ocotepeque,Gracias Lempira to the hot spring,Copan Ruinas to the Mayans Park,Lago de Yojoa, The famous Roatan ,Utila, Guanaja in the Bay Island,Pulhapanzak waterfalls and more.
Also there is alot of turist places in El Salvador like Santa Ana , La Palma and more.

We have so many beautiful mountains here is easy access to Guatemala and El Salvador. You will have fun here and it would be an amazing cultural experience for sure!
Ocotepeque is a safe and quiet town located around a 10 minute drive from the El Salvador border, and around 25 minutes from the Guatemala border. There are many tourist attractions in the area which volunteers often travel to, including the Mayan ruins at Copan,Guisayote Reserva,Hot spring in Gracias Lempira, the famous church at Esquipulas, Guatemala, the Pacific coast of El Salvador, Bay Island, Roatan, Utila ,Yojoa Lake and more.
The nearest airport is in San Salvador, El Salvador Ruta Las Flores ,El Pital Mountain,Santa Ana, Trifinio Reserva. From there, you need to get to a small town called 'El Poy'. There are buses there that will then take you to the Honduran border.
Ordinary Route 119: runs from San Salvador to the El Poy border (San Salvador-Honduras). It costs $1.70. It leaves at 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every half hour approximately.
From San Pedro, there are regular buses – including the Sultana and Congolon. Make sure you tell the company you are going to Ocotepeque and NOT the border.
If you come from Guatemala, you will need to get the 'Rutas Orientales'. This route goes throgh a small town called Esquipulas. From there, you can easily get to the border of Honduras and then to Ocotepeque.
Once you have confirmed your place I can send you the google maps location.
The town has private and public health services if you have you own world traveling insurance it will be helpful.

Accommodation and food are basic Honduran fare, but the family makes sure you're taken care of and treats volunteers like family.
