This is Dal, josefine born and raised.
I returned to San Jose in 2020 (seems like yesterday) and decided to settle here, due to the overall openness to diversity and inclusion 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
I host in my flat in downtown SJ. My home is a safe space for the LBTQIA+ community who might need to spend 1 to 2 nights in the city, before heading out to adventure in the wild ✨
Don't miss out on making a stop by San Jose. It is safe. It is safe for women and LGBTQIA+ specially*. It is fun, lively, eccentric, busy. And most importantly; is where the locals live.

My apartment is a window to the life of the queer millennial josefine - I'd be happy to connect you with events for the community.

I only host people in the LBTQIA+ umbrella. No exceptions.
I do not host overnighters.
I do not host children, nor minors.
I do not host multiple people.
I do not host more than 2 nights.

What type of work I need help with?
Option A - If I am travelling, then house/pet sitting. I have an active puppy and a much more active senior dog.
Option B - If I am home, then tidy up the house, or whatever you are good at.
It's important you can do it fully unsupervised and with little to no guidance.
Examples;
- deep cleaning an area
-or detail cleaning an area
What I DO NOT need:
- surface cleaning, like washing dishes or sweeping the floor. We all do these daily.
- "Pet sitting" were my dogs are just ignored while you doom scroll.
- Actively guiding, monitoring, or helping with a task. Welcoming a workawayer, allows me to free up some of my time every now and then— not give myself more work.

I live east of downtown San Jose.
This is a very lively side of town day and night.
~The apartment:
I live in a duplex. (please research what that means before asking to stay) .
~The guest sleeping area:
You will sleep in the stuliving room in the most comfiest twin size sofa to ever exist (I promise!).
~Bathroom:
We'll share a bathroom.

• Downtown San Jose (Mercado, Museums, Artisans market, landmarks, hostels, etc)
• Barrio Amón and Barrio Aranjuez for the vintage vibes
• Barrio Escalante for trendy shops and the best world gastronomy ✨
• Barrio La California "La Cali" for the most authentic josefina nightlife (ps: salsa is not thing here!)
• Universidad de Costa Rica (San Pedro) for the "College town" experience
• and all connector buses to nearby cities, suburbs, and provinces!
