We had the best time with Debbie and Kim and felt really welcomed into their beautiful home. The work was varied and we were given a lot of flexibility over how to distribute our work hours. I very much enjoyed my stay with Debbie and Kim. They were very welcoming and made me feel right at home. Because of an injury I wasn't able to do everything, but Debbie adjusted the work and made sure I did what I could.
Thank you so much for the lovely stay in your home!

Well we had a few great workaways come and help us on our property, but Steve and Luisa set a very high standard. My first task I wanted done, was power washing the house, and they laughed as it was their 3rd house in the North Island so they were experts!! Any maintenance work was sorted, even items that weren't on the list! Loved to have Steve

Both of them just slipped straight into our lives and into the house and we really enjoyed having them and putting the world to rights over our shared meals! Look forward to seeing you again, maybe in Spain. Good luck with your travelling!

We spent a fabulous week with Debbie and Kim. It's true what other Workawayers have said: Debbie really is an excellent cook, especially with meat! We had a very comfy room and they were very relaxed about inviting us into their home. We worked mainly outdoors water blasting the house clean, cutting hedges and picking up debris from storm damage.
… read more We also did a little decorating and maintenance work inside. The setting is quite remote with magnificent views, but they were happy to lend us a car a few times to visit local towns and the beach, and we managed to climb to the top of Te Mata nearby. We left wanting more, and hope to return one day or perhaps even meet up in Europe before too long.Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

We stayed at Debbie and Kim’s place for 5 days, and it was a pleasure. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed into their house, and they made sure we felt at home by showing us the property and including us in their daily lives.
As for the work we did, Debbie had a list of prioritized tasks, which were to be completed by the end of our stay.
… read more It involved everything from indoor tasks (cleaning, cooking) to outdoor tasks such as weeding, gardening and collecting of pine cones for the winter. We were also tought how to ride the quadbike, and used it for some of the heavy tasks.
The morning after our first day we were told that we did not work hard enough for the expected amount of hours per day (4h for 6 days per week), and that we should lower the quality of our work to instead increase the throughput of completed tasks. This was a simple case of misscommunication by us not talking about the expectations of the work to be completed prior to us starting on the first day. Hence, already on the second day our communication was better and we felt that the work we delivered was appreciated and up to Debbie’s expectations.
On our last day, we cooked Debbie, Kim, and their two sons, Kieran and Benjamin, dinner and we had a lovely evening together with story telling and sharing of tales from our home countries.
The accomodation was superb! Litterally! Not only is Debbie and Kim’s home big and absolutely wonderful, but we even had our own room with a great bed and ensuite bathroom.
Besides the work and accommodation, Kim showed us his pottery workshop and invited us to try and make our own cups, even though we had never tried pottery before. It was very fun, and Kim was a great teacher.
The house is close to various hikes and sights, which Debbie and Kim advertised to us. For example, we managed to visit the local Red Bridge Café coffee shop and hike to the top of Te Mata peak (if the skies are clear, we highly recommend going here!).Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Thoroughly enjoyed having Emmie and Neil come stay with us, being their first workaway experience, I was pretty easy on them (haha!!). Did exactly what I wanted them to do during their time here and we learnt about rafting and Alaska, which it is all about. Best of luck for the remainder of your travels, which is probably forever as you are a

We stayed with Debbie, Kim, and their daughter for 5 days and really enjoyed our time with them. Their home is beautiful and in a lovely, peaceful location. We mostly did yard work while there- hedge trimming, weeding, and moving debris. It was all simple and pretty easy- Debbie gave us clear instructions and then left us be to do the jobs. Their

I stayed In Debbie s and Kim s house 10 days. Debbie clearly tells you what you need to do during your stay and what it is priority then you can plan your time accordingly. What a lovely girl Zulal is. Nothing was a problem and Zulal was very good at getting you talking! Definitely would host Zulal again. Zulal looked after the dogs whilst we went away and carried on with her jobs. This was our first workaway experience and a great introduction to the system. Debbie was incredibly accommodating, taking a very last minute request from us. The whole family were very welcoming and their home is beautiful. We were only there for 10 days, but by the time we left we really felt like we’d made friends with the whole family

Debbie was wonderfully clear about what she wanted us to do and which jobs were the priority. She then was very trusting in largely leaving us to get on with it in our own way. We went in winter and the work was mostly maintenance around the property: laying paths, clearing vines, planting and clearing wood etc. Unfortunately Debbie was injured at the time, but was very proactive about getting Izzy involved with the horses, finding time for her to ride, and introducing her to a friend that she could ride with.
Kim’s pottery studio is fascinating and he was kind enough to show us around and explain his processes. The whole family were a lot of fun and we enjoyed spending time with them, going to watch their son Ben play rugby, getting involved in one of Annabel’s school projects, and going with them to the pub and Hawke’s Bay farmers’ market. Other things to see in the area included Te Mata peak, the Hawke’s Bay vineyards, Napier, and of course Diva’s bar(/nightclub??) in Havelock North - plenty of great local mullets on display.
All in all a fantastic experience we would definitely recommend to other workawayers!Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

We stayed with Debbie and Kim in their gorgeous house for a couple of weeks. The work was pretty easy , a bit of cleaning, cooking, gardening, dog walking and driving, with hours being flexible around our plans.
In our freetime we explored the area, always equipped with a bunch of recommendations on where to go.
We also had the possibility to ride
