David and Tara were a pleasure to have on our team here. Spending four months with us over the summer, they brought so much positive energy to our restaurant and resort. Their work ethic is incredible—they’re always ready to roll up their sleeves, think on their feet, and adapt to whatever needs doing. They’re self-starters who really take pride

From running the reception desk, housekeeping, and checking in guests, to serving up to 60 people in one evening (just the two of them!), they kept their cool and handled everything like pros. They even helped us host four weddings without a hitch.
Our guests really enjoyed hearing David and Tara’s travel stories, with many commenting that it made them feel like they were having a truly authentic, personal experience.
If you have the chance to host them, don’t hesitate—you’ll not only get hardworking helpers, but also two amazing people. Safe travels, David and Tara!

It was my first experience in workaway and I definitely recommend this place. The staff is very friendly and nice. What can you say about the place? It's just amazing! Maurice was with us during the spring break and right into summer opening. He's had an adventure or two out here and he sure was up for anything. Great help, always very accurate and reliable, doing all sorts of things and not afraid to get his hands dirty. Very nice young fellow, enjoyed having him around. Best of luck to you Maurice, don't be a

The best place to stay!
This place is absolutely gorgeous! It is placed in the middle of the nature - perfect for mountain-lovers and those who want to spot some wildlife like mouse, bears or one of the thousand porcupines living there. The lake is 10 sec. away and kajaking is as much fun as fishing - and thanks to Gebhard even beginners will be

She is the dog of the property, owned by the chef who is a really nice guy, always up for a joke and with amazing skills in the kitchen - which makes it impossible to get hungry, because if needed, there will always be delicious food. Sarah and Gebhard will welcome you with open arms and treat you like a normal "family" -member, including game-evenings with the neighbours which are a lot of fun aswell! You will also have much fun with Debrah (Server) and Juranty (junior-chef and probably spelled wrong) who are always up for a nice chat!
All in all the Yukon is the best place to be - especially with those guys, and I highly recommend going there for a full season, because there is so much to do, but even for 5 weeks it is worth it. I hope I can manage to come back at the winter time at one point and for everybody who is reading this I can only hope to choose the best experience of the Yukon you can get!Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Erin has made it her mission to discover her own country - and she's making the most out of it! She's the right person to come help at a place like ours, as she's independent, loves nature and animals and soakes everything up like a sponge. I had such an amazing three weeks helping out at the resort, if I could have stayed longer I definitely would have. The location is absolutely beautiful right on the lake with an amazing view of the mountains. I couldn't get enough of the 24 hours of light and would stay up all night long to go down and sit on the docks in the incredible peace and

The managers Sarah and Gebhard, and the rest of the staff, are such incredible, incredible people. They went out of their way to make me feel at home and made sure I got the most out of my time there which was so appreciated.
The work I did was mostly housekeeping. The resort was getting into their busy summer season. Most days I would wake up and prepare the breakfast buffet for guests who ordered breakfast. I would then go and tidy the cabins of the guests staying at the resort and then would do full cleans and resets of the cabins being turned over for new guests. With remaining time I would do laundry or help in the restaurant with dishes or assisting the chef or server. It was so cool to meet and chat with both the local regulars eating at the restaurant as well as the resort guests from all over the world.
This was such a great place to experience a bit of the Yukon!Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

How lucky we were that Chris jumped on our desperate last minute call back in August!
Initially we planned to have him with us for around 2-3 weeks to cover until the next workaway - turns out we did not have to look any further.
Quiet in his demeanour, always willing to jump in when needed and his work was always done with German diligence.
He

He managed the isolation really well and seemed content out here with the surroundings and the little entertainment (in the classic sense) there is here. Of course, we had some "bush-style" entertainment in store for him as well, for which he went all-in as well - no hesitation.
Chris was well appreciated by our other staff and all our guests.
We wish him a great time "down South" during his winter adventure and lots more wonderful experiences during his time in Canada!
Thanks again for your help and company!

Describing this place as beautiful doesn't even come close to how amazed I was when I came down through the forest on that dirt road. You go down that road and suddenly your on the lake with an absolutely breath taking view of the mountains.
I worked and lived at the lodge for about 3 months and time just flew by. There's nothing bad to say about
… read more my experience, actually quite the opposite is the case.
The room I stayed in was decent size, clean and had a comfy bed in it. Also having a own shower is always a plus. The food I got fed everyday was top notch and as there's a restaurant too there's quite a bit of variation on the meal plan and Bruno always made sure I was well fed.
The work I had to was mainly dishwashing, keeping the restaurant clean and the occasional housekeeping task once in a while some wood splitting had to be done and I was happy to do that too. Sometimes I had to work a bit more than the 4 - 5 hours, but then on other days there was almost no work at all which resulted in a lot of free time. All in all it evened out pretty well.
Not having a car resulted in me spending a lot of time on the property itself, but Bruno quite often took me to visit some of his friends or go to one of the local restaurants in Tagish. Once in a while I was even able to go to Whitehorse and I also did a 3 day trip to the Wilderness Lodge which was very nice as there's a lot of wildlife to see. To say the least I got my fair share of Canadian moose :D.
This was my first workaway experience, but it certainly won't be my last. I can strongly encourage people who want to work at the lodge to do so. It's less work than a once in a lifetime opportunity and if you can do it.
Thanks for everything Bruno, Sarah, Gebhard, Rick & Deb!Só é possível entrar em contato com Workawayers com assinaturas ativas.

Hayley is awesome. We had a blast together. She's up for anything and keen on trying new things. But she's just as well a very good help to have around, not shying away from the less shiny tasks (cleaning toilets), and when given her own project, she excels with her creativity and willingness to get things done (decorating the place for an event).

With her cheerful and bubbly personality, she's able to win people over instantly. Our guests loved her. We were also very impressed about her artwork, both photo and videography. She made us see our own world in a whole different light. Her photos pull you in and tell the story of the amazing North.
We could always count on her and since we have lots of responsibilities during any regular workday, it was lovely to have someone brighten up some of the more stressful moments (which can happen out here!), and have a good laugh and interesting conversations in the evening.
Thanks again Hayley, and as mentioned, our doors are open for you any time!
