  Hiiiii!
  We are a Spanish family living in Lucena, Andalusia, with two children aged 6 and 9 and a Golden Retriever. We are looking for a non-smoking native English-speaking woman who enjoys spending time with children, and with us, communicating naturally in English and sharing part of our family life.
  
  Lucena is a great base for exploring southern Spain. Córdoba and Málaga are approximately one hour away, while Seville and Granada are around one and a half hours away. This makes it easy to visit different places and enjoy your weekends travelling and discovering Andalusia at your own pace.

  We are a very well-travelled family. All four of us, both adults and our children, have travelled extensively and experienced many different countries and cultures.
  
  We believe that meeting people from different backgrounds and sharing experiences is one of the best ways to learn and grow. We enjoy discovering new perspectives, stories and ways of seeing the world, and we would love to share our own experiences with someone who feels the same way.
  
  We offer a natural Spanish-English cultural exchange within our family. When the children are around, we will speak English so they can practise and interact naturally with a native English speaker. When the children are at school or doing their own activities, we will speak Spanish, giving you the opportunity to practise Spanish through everyday conversations with us.
  
  Lucena is a historic city with a rich Jewish, Christian and Muslim heritage, often described as a city of three cultures. It has many interesting historical sites and beautiful places to discover.
  It is also a great base for exploring Andalusia, with Córdoba and Málaga about one hour away and Seville and Granada around one and a half hours away. There are also many beautiful historic towns and villages nearby, making it easy to explore the region during your free time.
  
  If you wish to take Spanish classes, we can recommend suitable schools and help you with any questions or doubts you may have about your lessons. We would also be happy to share family meals and activities with you if you wish, while you are completely free to explore Andalusia and make your own plans.

  Ajuda

  The arrangement would be around four hours a day, Monday to Friday:
  
  Around two hours of family time, from approximately 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Our children finish school at 2 p.m. During these two hours, you would have lunch with us, if you wish or prepare your own meal earlier, chat and spend time together, interacting with the children in English while we are also around (not English lessons or babysitting). If you would like to join us for other family activities, you are also very welcome. When the children are with us, we would speak English so they can practise naturally. When they are at their own activities, we can switch to Spanish if you prefer.
  
  Around two hours of household help in the morning, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., at a time that suits you best: cleaning, tidying, washing dishes, mopping, dusting, laundry (no ironing) and other regular household tasks. I work from home, so I will be around during these hours. We can chat and interact in Spanish while you are doing the household tasks, and as I have experience teaching Spanish to foreigners, I can naturally correct you and help you practise through everyday conversation.
  
  For stays from January to end May. some mornings you would come with me to the non-profit association to take part in storytelling sessions and other children’s recreational activities in English. These activities use stories, games and play to work on positive values with children. On the days when these activities take place, the morning would generally be dedicated to the association, approximately from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. We would balance this by giving you additional free time on other days.

  Acomodação

  We have a spacious, open-plan loft where you will have your own private bedroom, located on the upper level overlooking the living area. The loft is approximately a 10–15 minute bike ride from our home, and we will provide a bicycle so you can get around independently.
  The loft is a fun and comfortable space with a play area and a sports area, including a climbing wall. We sometimes go there as a family, especially in the afternoons after the children’s extracurricular activities, to spend some time together and enjoy the space. Outside of these family visits, you will have the loft as your own space, with privacy and independence.

  I work in a company iimporting and exporting tropical fruit and my husband is a dental prosthetist. We are an active family who enjoys travelling, discovering new places, spending time outdoors and sharing experiences. We have travelled extensively as a family and are open-minded and curious about other cultures and ways of life.
  
  We have a friendly Golden Retriever, so you should be comfortable around dogs and not have a dog allergy.
  
  We are looking for someone responsible, respectful, easy-going and independent, but also sociable and happy to be part of family life.
  
  We would like this to be a positive experience for everyone, with clear communication and mutual respect. We are happy to help you discover the area, recommend places to visit and help you settle in during your stay.
