Nuestra experiencia de voluntariado con Gustavo fue excepcional y sorprendente. Aquí Gustavo está llevando adelante su proyecto de vida autosuficiente, de compartir y ayuda mutua, un proyecto de nutrimento interior, con el objetivo de volver a vivir a los ritmos delicados de la naturaleza, en conexión con ella y con los demás. Gus es una persona maravillosa, desde el primer día su sonrisa nos hizo sentir como en casa. Es amable, atento, siempre disponible. Todos los días nos recordaba que nos hidratáramos y tomásemos descansos cada vez que sentíamos la necesidad. Le ayudamos en la construcción de la cuarta estructura del terreno, completamente hecha en bioedilizia. Nos dio la oportunidad de conocer este mundo con el que aún no habíamos entrado en contacto. El trabajo es muy dinámico y nunca es igual, de hecho, para evitar la monotonía siempre hemos trabajado por rotación, intercambiando las tareas y haciendo todo más interesante y útil para el aprendizaje. Un trabajo satisfactorio que Gustavo lleva a cabo con tanto cuidado y pasión. A pocos pasos de la tierra se encuentra un río muy grande, inmerso en el verde de un valle casi virgen. Su proyecto está muy cerca de nuestra idea de vida, esperamos poder volver y pasar más tiempo con Gus ! Un abrazoooo amigo

Julie & Morgan are amzaing! I loved having them here. There a beautiful couple with great spirit and fun to be around. Also they are hardworking people and they really helped me a lot with my project. Host them !!

We can now cross this experience off our 'Bucket List'. This was an experience of a lifetime for us. Anna graciously welcomed us into her home and we immediately felt like family. She introduced us to family nearby and we had many opportunities to improve our Italian and socialize. We started our day with breakfast and conversation. Our chores included pruning Anna's various plants, stacking firewood, raking and removing leaves and cutting the grass. We also did some house organization tasks when it rained. Anna was usually working alongside us, she was incredible. She shared many of her delicious recipes with us and we cooked one night for her! We were able to do some exploring in the afternoons and weekends. We especially enjoyed our time in Lucca, Viareggio, Pisa and Montecarlo. We will always cherish our time with Anna, we had many laughs, cultural experiences and lots of authentic italian cooking. We love you Anna!

I stayed with Paula and Niko on their beautiful Cantabrian property in June this year. They have left a forever mark on my heart and life story! I have amazing memories with them and learned so much from Paula's remarkable strength and work ethic. The place is right near the beach and the accommodation is great, I walked around every day and couldn't believe where I was living. In the house there are two cats and two dogs - Tana te echo de menos :,) My tasks included cleaning, gardening, organizing, cooking, and taking care of Niko. We all worked together and became a little family unit. I highly recommend this stay. And Paula is an INCREDIBLE chef. Espero que nos veamos otra vez <3

CJ and Jovè were a great help around our home they helped with lots of different projects and showed great skills in gardening and interior design. They completed tasks to a high standard and put great effort and enthusiasm into interior design. Two very artistic people who love to have fun. Best of luck in the future 🙏🏻🙌🌹

Eva stayed few weeks at home and we really enjoy our time together. She made great compote with the figs (we had tons !) and helped a lot with the kids. She also cooked some great German recipes. Our daughters loved sharing time with Eva. We had great conversations and had some good laugh together. She is also very independent and open minded. Thanks a lot again to Eva for all your help ! We will be very happy to have you back ! All the best for you !

It might be that you are the lucky ones who will host Yoed one day. ;) So here comes our recommendation from deep within our hearts. Honestly, it’s not easy to let him move on – even after just two months of living with us and volunteering in our family. What a gift. From day one, he was a true asset: reliable, polite, honest, and wonderfully caring with our kids. Daily tasks? He simply joined in – without many words. He knows how to use tools, and he was also doing the dishes and helping out whenever we needed support. Now he continues his journey. So if anyone needs help – in the household, the garden, or daily life – we can wholeheartedly recommend him. He doesn’t drink (maybe a glass of wine once in a while), doesn’t smoke, is sporty, strong, and contributes with a deeply respectful attitude. A real jackpot! 🍀 We even invited him to celebrate Christmas with us – and without any doubt, this was one of the best decisions we could have made. The universe gifted us this wonderful young man. Dear Workaway, we are so grateful to have had this opportunity for cultural exchange. Go for it, lovely people all over the world. Yoed, we wish you all the best for your upcoming journey. Liza's and Alex were the most incredible hosts. they went above and beyond for my French language learning and the tasks during the day were minimal. not to mention the accommodation was so beautiful and a real chance to take a breather in the countryside. couldn't recommend them enough ☺️

Haruka and Ai were such a pleasure to host for the 10 days stay. They are disciplined and self starters. They take joy in their allotted tusks and seems to be always in a very good mood and happy.They turned the compost heap on the first day in the garden. It was challenging but to my surprise it was done very well. This is not a small task our compost piles. They help a lot with the planting and of course with the weeding, its a big garden but didn't seem to frighten them. Hanging the Christmas Lights on the big Pohutakawa tree was fun task but challenging as the tree is very big and a lot of climbing is needed. Helping in the house was tremendous and for that I really want to give our special thanks. And not to forget Sveijk. Our dog is not the easiest to have around but they managed to take control of him. Taking him out several times a day and look after him. It was so nice to see the bond growing between them and the dog. I am sue he will miss them now they are gone and so are we. Living and working alongside Guy and Pasha was one of the most meaningful experiences of our travels — memories we will never forget. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and treated like part of the family. They put so much effort into making you feel at home. The bedroom is spacious, clean, and very comfortable, and the outdoor chill area was a highlight for us — a sofa, a huge hammock, and stunning views over the mountains and garden. Guy and Pasha are two of the most genuine and kind people we have ever met. They speak about life with real love and passion and are incredibly generous with their knowledge. Pasha shared so much about health, mindfulness, and wellbeing, giving us new perspectives we had never considered. Guy is a wealth of knowledge in horticulture, biodynamics, and organic farming, and was always happy to teach, lend books, and answer every question in detail. The work was enjoyable, varied, and never exhausting — safety was always a priority. Alongside the work, we had so much fun, from cooling off in their private creek to sharing delicious meals full of laughter and stories. We learned so much, gained valuable skills, and left feeling inspired. We stayed for two weeks and wish we could have stayed longer. We are incredibly grateful to have met Guy, Pasha, and beautiful Ava, and cannot recommend this stay enough ❤️ Can't wait to see you all again one day!!

These women are amazing, very proactive and comprehensive. Whatever project they put their hands on, is guaranteed success. You can trust them in every sense.

Adalis looked after our house and chickens for three weeks while we were away. It all went very smooth. Adalis was trust worthy and very easy to communicate with. Before we left for our trip we had some days together with Adalis. She cooked us a lovely Venezuelan meal and we noticed she was very easy going and adaptive.

Irene and Emanuele were excellent in all ways - professional, well organized, self-directed, worked well with a team, and produced amazing content! We were fortunate to collaborate with them.

Cecilia was a great help during the time she spent at our foundation. From the beginning, she showed strong dedication, responsibility and a genuine willingness to help wherever needed. She later took on the role of volunteers’ coordinator, becoming an important reference point for both the team and the volunteers. She demonstrated deep compassion and a sincere love for the dogs, and was able to calmly approach and gain the trust of even the more challenging cases. Her presence was always positive and reassuring, both for the dogs and for the people around her. Cecilia worked consistently and reliably, often going beyond her assigned role when necessary, always keeping the dogs’ wellbeing as a priority and consistently offering support whenever needed. We truly hope she will be able to visit us again in the future, as she is greatly missed by the team and the dogs.

We stayed on the farm and had a really great experience. Tiago and Claudia are very open-minded, friendly, and truly do their best to make you feel at home and comfortable. Everything was very easygoing and fun, including helping out on the farm. If you love animals, this is the perfect place — and it's also ideal if you want to gain some real farm experience. The accommodation was very clean, new and beautiful. We really felt at home so quickly. We even had the chance to visit Lisbon, and you can always ask Claudia and Tiago anything — they are very patient, relaxed, and helpful. You can really feel how much they care for their animals; they give everything for them, and listening to their stories truly warms your heart. We already miss them and the animals so much and can only highly recommend this place. Thank you so much!💞

Yoann al principio fue muy silencioso y tímido, pero con el paso de los días y de la convivencia en casa pude empezar a conocerlo mejor! Yoann fue incondicional conmigo y las labores de la finca, podía estar tranquila porque sabía que aún si no le decía que tarea realizar, él encontraba cosas por hacer en la finca para avanzar, no necesitaba estar con él todo el tiempo, me sentí muy feliz con su ayuda y compañía, es una persona con un alto sentido de la responsabilidad, cumplido, tranquilo y servicial. Creo que es una persona muy resiliente y en la búsqueda real de lo espiritual, de construirse como ser humano y de aprender cada día. Estuvo apoyándome en diversas terapias y tratamientos con diferentes medicinas y fue muy abierto de mente para comprender lo que pasaba con las personas para estar al servicio. Eso fue muy valioso para mi. ! También me pareció maravilloso las sorpresas que tuvo para la familia, cuando regresé de viaje había hecho un jardín con flores hermoso, otro día le dije que quería un pequeño estanque para peces y luego lo estaba construyendo, ¡cocina muy bien! resuelve la alimentación con lo que tengas en casa y agradezco por toda la ayuda que me brindo en todo lo que siempre debo hacer, desde las labores de la finca, limpieza, cuidado de los niños, hacer compras. Es un ser con el que realmente puedes contar. Entre otras cosas tiene una excelente relación con los niños, aquí los niños lo buscaban para jugar con él y nos divertimos bastante, también les enseñó muchas cosas divertidas como hacer trampas para atrapar gallinas y a cuidar de los animales. Yoann como todos los voluntarios que han venido a casa ahora es parte de esta familia! Nos dio pena tu partida, pero estoy segura de que pronto nos volveremos a ver, Kenai, Arawi y Amaru te mandan muchos abrazos. Gracias de corazón por dejar tu huella en este territorio y en los corazones de muchos. Gracias Yoann por todo! me siento muy feliz de haberte conocido y poder compartir este tiempo en familia. We had a very great experience... Laura is an incredibly friendly, funny, and open-minded person who really makes you feel welcome from the very beginning. The house is absolutely beautiful, and the dogs are so sweet and lovely. You can always ask Laura anything, and she truly does her best to make sure you feel comfortable. We felt at home very quickly. The room and the bathroom were both beautiful, and we were very satisfied with everything. We had a wonderful time and can only recommend this place to others.💞

Staying with Ines, Doug and their gorgeous doggies was an absolute pleasure! Their home is warm, inviting and such a cool space. Their garden and natural pool is so special. They love company and enjoy the help that you can offer, celebrating any skills and talents you can bring! They love to cook and I tried some incredible traditional food from their combined rich cultural backgrounds. A truly special place that I have returned to on a few ocassions!

We had a wonderful stay at Ignacio's property. It's a tucked away place surrounded by mountains (a stunning view in the sunset), a local family of cats on the property, and plenty of land, which feels like a secret garden! Ignacio's project is in its early stages, so we spent most of our time clearing land, but he was really chilled out about our workload, as it was rather hot during our stay. He unfortunately couldn't be around all the time due to work commitments, but we had a great time with him in the evenings.
